Midlands-based health-tech scale-up Rem3dy Health has raised £1.4 million in new funding, marking another milestone for the region’s growing innovation ecosystem. The investment round was led by Amsterdam-based Borski Fund and Future Planet Capital Regional, underscoring international confidence in the UK’s regional startup hubs. The announcement was made during Birmingham Tech Week’s Scale-Up Summit, hosted by The Lifted Project, a Treasury and Rose Review-backed initiative promoting investment in women-led businesses.

Backing Female Leadership and Innovation

Founded and led by serial entrepreneur Melissa Snover, Rem3dy Health has built its reputation on pioneering 3D printing technology that powers its flagship brand, Nourished. The platform offers personalized, stackable nutrition gummies tailored to individual health needs, positioning itself at the forefront of preventative healthcare. Snover, who has raised over £20 million to date, said the new funding represents a turning point for both the company and the region, demonstrating that “world-class innovation doesn’t have to start—or stay—in London.”

Details of the Investment Round

During the Summit’s panel session, Snover revealed that Borski Fund invested £900,000, while Future Planet Capital Regional contributed £500,000. Borski Fund, known for championing female founders and high-growth ventures, recognized the company’s global potential early on. “From our first meeting, Melissa’s vision and drive were unmissable,” said Jen Roberts-Woods, Investment Associate at Borski Fund. “Our partnership with Future Planet Capital shows how cross-border collaboration can drive innovation and support exceptional founders.”

Regional Growth with Global Ambitions

Future Planet Capital Regional, which manages the West Midlands Co-Investment Fund, views Rem3dy Health as a flagship example of what can be achieved when regional entrepreneurs access both local and global funding. “We’re proving that the region can be a launchpad for world-class innovation,” said Rupert Lyle, Managing Director at Future Planet Capital Regional. “Rem3dy Health’s growth story demonstrates how strategic partnerships can create outcomes that are both commercially and socially transformative.”

Momentum Amid a Shifting Investment Landscape

The Midlands has seen an uptick in venture activity, with initiatives like the £30 million Inclusive Innovation Catalyst and the West Midlands Co-Investment Fund helping address regional funding disparities. Yet, challenges remain for founders outside London seeking large-scale growth capital. The Rem3dy Health deal offers a powerful example of how international investors are increasingly recognizing the value of regional ecosystems built on collaboration, inclusivity, and sectoral excellence.

Expanding Personalized Health Globally

The £1.4 million injection will accelerate Rem3dy Health’s R&D and global distribution strategy, advancing its mission to revolutionize personalized nutrition through cutting-edge 3D printing. As venture capital flows increasingly favor purpose-driven, inclusive businesses, Rem3dy Health’s model aligns perfectly with this new wave of health-tech innovation. Its success not only positions the company for continued global expansion but also strengthens the Midlands’ reputation as a competitive hub for digital health innovation.

Rem3dy Health’s latest funding round illustrates how the combination of visionary leadership, innovative technology, and regional collaboration can attract significant international investment. For the Midlands, this deal is more than a capital raise—it is proof that the region’s health-tech ecosystem is entering a new phase of global relevance. With partners like Borski Fund and Future Planet Capital on board, Rem3dy Health stands poised to redefine personalized wellness and champion the next generation of women-led innovation.
