Hamburg-based software company Procuros has raised €20 million in a Series A funding round to scale its AI-native supply chain connectivity platform. The investment was led by XAnge, with W23 Global joining as a new investor, and existing backers Point Nine, Creandum, b2venture, and SquareOne Venture Capital also participating. The company plans to use the fresh capital to support international expansion, strengthen its go-to-market activities, and accelerate the development of infrastructure that makes supply chain transactions more autonomous.

Tackling Legacy Supply Chain Processes

Many businesses still rely on electronic data interchange, individual integrations, and manual workflows to exchange documents such as orders, dispatch advices, and invoices. Transactions frequently arrive as PDFs, spreadsheets, and faxes, forcing employees to enter data, track documents, correct errors, and manage exceptions. Integrating a single trading partner can take months and requires technical resources from both sides, which creates delays and operational risk.

AI-Native Supply Chain Connectivity

Procuros enables companies to connect once and exchange data with multiple trading partners regardless of the systems, formats, or technical capabilities they use. The platform validates and harmonizes business data, creating a common data layer that can be used by AI agents to automate supply chain transactions. Patrick Thelen, CEO and co-founder of Procuros, said that operations teams should not have to bridge gaps between systems that cannot communicate effectively.

Thelen added that AI agents are only as effective as the infrastructure they run on, which is why Procuros is focused on providing trusted data and connectivity. The company sees this foundation as essential for autonomous supply chains where retailers, suppliers, and AI agents can automate trade. By reducing dependence on point-to-point integrations, Procuros aims to free operations teams from repetitive manual work.

Investor Confidence and Market Opportunity

XAnge pointed to Procuros' progress in the DACH region and its potential to establish a new category in global B2B trade. Valerie Bures-Bönström, Partner and Managing Director DACH at XAnge, noted that the company has demonstrated its model at scale and built infrastructure that enables AI agents to operate across trading networks. The investor added that there is a clear opportunity for Procuros to expand beyond its home market.

Existing backers Point Nine, Creandum, b2venture, and SquareOne Venture Capital also participated in the round, alongside several angel investors, signaling continued confidence in the company's direction. Their support reflects a shared conviction that supply chains need a new foundation built for AI-enabled coordination. The combination of new and existing investors strengthens Procuros as it moves beyond the DACH region.

Plans for Growth and Product Development

The new funding will be used to scale go-to-market activities, further develop the AI-native supply chain infrastructure, and accelerate international expansion. Procuros also plans to bring more businesses onto its network and enable AI agents to manage more workflows across companies and markets. The company's focus remains on building a foundation that supports automation across the entire B2B trade lifecycle.

Procuros has positioned itself at the intersection of AI and supply chain connectivity, where outdated processes still create significant friction for businesses. With €20 million in new capital and support from XAnge, W23 Global, and existing investors, the company is better equipped to modernize B2B data exchange at scale. Its international expansion and continued platform development could help define how AI agents participate in global supply chains.
