Pro Shop, a media platform connecting golf with mainstream culture, has announced the closing of a US$24 million Series B financing round led by Arthur M. Blank Sports and Entertainment, also known as AMBSE. New investors Causeway Media Partners and Ares Sports, Media and Entertainment funds joined the round, alongside returning backers PGA Tour, Powerhouse Capital, and Phoenix Capital Ventures. The company will direct the funding toward digital media, original programming, live events, commerce expansion, and strategic acquisitions.
Strategic Investment in Original Programming
Pro Shop plans to deepen its investment in original programming, including new talent-led franchises, premium live events, and competition formats designed for social-first audiences. The funding will also support the expansion of the company's owned-and-operated media brands and commerce businesses. Strategic acquisitions and partnerships across golf, media, and technology remain a central part of the growth plan.
Rapid Audience and Revenue Growth
In just over two years, Pro Shop has grown into a multi-platform media, entertainment, and commerce company spanning premium film, television, digital and creator-led programming, live competition, community, and consumer brands. The company now reaches more than 35 million unique users across its portfolio and has doubled revenue year over year. This expansion mirrors golf's broader cultural momentum as younger and more digital-first audiences engage with the game through streaming, creators, social platforms, fashion, equipment, and lifestyle.
Founder's Vision for a New Golf Era
Chad Mumm, Co-Founder and President of Pro Shop, said the company was built to meet modern golf fans wherever they engage with the sport across platforms, formats, and communities. He noted that the last two years have reinforced Pro Shop's original thesis that golf is entering a new cultural era. According to Mumm, the new investment will help the company back talent, create new formats, and expand experiences that connect golf to broader culture.
Investor and Board Perspectives
Troy Rice, CEO of PGA Tour Superstore and an AMBSE company, joins Pro Shop's board as part of AMBSE's lead investment in the Series B round. Rice said golf is America's largest-growing sport, with fans discovering the game through in-home simulators, music on the course, entertainment venues, and social platforms. He added that the investment extends AMBSE's ability to connect with golfers through the programming Pro Shop will produce.
PGA Tour Support
Chris Wandell, PGA Tour SVP of Media and Licensing and Pro Shop board member, said the company has connected with fans through compelling storytelling, innovative formats, and new platforms. He also highlighted Pro Shop's role as a key production partner of PGA Tour Studios. Wandell expressed confidence in the team's creativity and ambition as it moves into its next phase of growth.
Expanding Production and Brand Portfolio
Through Pro Shop Studios, the company has produced Netflix's Full Swing and co-produced Happy Gilmore 2 and The Hawk. It has also expanded into premium live competition through the PGA Tour's Creator Classic and the revival of The Skins Game, which returned in November 2025 after a 17-year hiatus as part of Prime Video's Black Friday sports lineup. The broader portfolio includes GolfWRX, acquired in 2025, Sugarloaf Social Club, and Paige Co., its venture with creator Paige Spiranac.
Prior Funding and Continued Momentum
The Series B follows Pro Shop's US$20 million Series A in 2024, led by Powerhouse Capital with participation from the PGA Tour, EP Golf Ventures, Marquee Ventures, Gametime Capital, Phoenix Capital Ventures, and other investors. Gunderson Dettmer served as legal counsel to Pro Shop for the latest financing. The continued support from existing investors highlights confidence in the company's expanding role in golf media.
Pro Shop's latest financing round underscores strong investor interest in media businesses that blend sports, entertainment, and digital culture. The new capital will enable the company to scale content production, live experiences, and commerce offerings for modern golf fans across multiple platforms. With a diverse portfolio and a growing coalition of strategic partners, Pro Shop is well positioned to influence how golf reaches mainstream audiences.
