Primo, an AI-powered IT management platform, has secured an $8 million funding round led by Headline and Global Founders Capital. The company announced that the new capital will be used to expand hiring, further develop artificial intelligence capabilities and accelerate international growth. Primo is positioning itself to replace fragmented corporate IT tools with a unified system where AI agents can complete operational workflows end to end.
Unifying corporate IT operations
Many companies with 50 to 1,000 employees still rely on disconnected tools for device management, access, software licenses, hardware purchasing and support. Primo consolidates these functions into a single platform built around employee data and connected to human resources systems. More than 400 organizations across 10 countries currently run their IT operations on Primo.
From fragmented tools to a single data model
Each legacy tool may perform well on its own, but Primo argues that the lack of integration forces IT teams to reconcile data and repeat manual steps. The platform unifies devices, SaaS applications, identity and support under one model, giving AI agents consistent context about employees and permissions. This foundation is central to the company's goal of enabling software to take on the work itself rather than simply organizing it.
Why context and action matter for AI agents
Primo states that plugging an AI model into a helpdesk or device management tool is not enough, because isolated systems limit what an agent can see and do. A functional agent needs to understand who an employee is, what their role involves and which devices or applications they use. It also needs the ability to act across integrated systems in the correct sequence, stopping cleanly when a step fails.
Automating onboarding and offboarding
The platform is designed to handle repetitive IT processes from beginning to end, including ordering hardware, assigning software access and revoking permissions when employees leave. Companies can configure which actions run automatically and which require a human approval step. Primo says this approach gives IT teams both efficiency and full traceability over every action.
Governance for agentic IT
Because agents can manage access rights and device configurations, Primo enforces company-defined policies that govern every action. Sensitive operations such as wiping a device or revoking critical access can be routed to a person unless the organization decides otherwise. All agent actions are logged, and any suggested policy changes remain subject to human decision making.
Market traction and expansion plans
Primo reports that its revenue has quadrupled year over year and recently surpassed $4 million in annual recurring revenue. Its customers include ASL Airlines and Attio, and international clients account for more than half of its customer base. The company plans to double its headcount and expand in the United Kingdom, Germany, the Benelux region and the Nordics.
A new role for IT teams
Primo says IT teams are not lacking expertise but are often consumed by tickets, onboarding, access requests and compliance checks. The company believes AI agents can give IT staff their role back by setting policies, overseeing exceptions and focusing on security and infrastructure. The funding will support efforts to put these agents in more IT teams across Europe and the United States.
Primo's $8 million round reflects growing investor interest in unified IT platforms that combine operational data with AI-driven execution. The company is using the capital to scale its team, deepen its AI capabilities and expand into established markets. With more than 400 customers and rising revenue, Primo is betting that governed AI agents will become the new standard for modern corporate IT.
