Libreville-based telematics startup POZI has closed a €650,000 funding round led by Saviu Ventures, with the participation of EMSY Capital and advisory support from law firm Chazai Wamba. The deal marks a watershed moment for Gabon’s technology ecosystem, as it represents the first time a local tech company has attracted international venture capital investment. The raise signals growing investor confidence in Gabon’s emerging digital economy and the scalability of its homegrown innovations.

Connecting Africa, One Vehicle at a Time

Founded in Libreville, POZI provides telematics and fleet management solutions that help businesses monitor and optimize vehicle operations in real time. The company has already connected more than 2,500 vehicles and serves nearly 200 clients across diverse sectors. With the new funding, POZI plans to expand into West Africa, beginning with Côte d’Ivoire in 2025, as part of a larger roadmap to connect 35,000 vehicles across ten countries by 2030.

Empowering Leaders Through Data

Beyond traditional vehicle tracking, POZI positions itself as a data intelligence company. Its “Data for Leaders” approach delivers predictive analytics to anticipate maintenance needs, real-time performance dashboards for operational efficiency, and tailored risk management tools suited to African road and infrastructure realities. This comprehensive use of data allows organizations to reduce costs, improve safety, and enhance transparency while driving sustainable growth.

A Vision Rooted in African Realities

According to Loïc Kapitho, POZI’s Co-Founder and CEO, this milestone is about more than capital. “This fundraising marks a major step not only for POZI but for the entire Gabonese tech ecosystem,” he said. “It proves that our startups can earn the trust of international investors and carry regional ambitions. With Saviu Ventures’ backing and the dedication of our team, we reaffirm our mission: connecting Africa, one vehicle at a time.” Kapitho emphasized the company’s belief in collective progress, highlighting collaboration among employees, partners, and clients as central to POZI’s journey.

Driving a Smarter and Safer Mobility Future

POZI’s platform embodies a broader vision for sustainable and data-driven mobility in Africa. By combining advanced analytics and AI-driven insights, the startup supports better decision-making for fleet operators, insurers, and public agencies. Its technology contributes to key regional goals, such as reducing emissions, improving road safety, and enhancing the overall efficiency of urban mobility.

Toward Continental Expansion

The company’s upcoming entry into Côte d’Ivoire represents the first step in a carefully planned regional rollout. POZI’s model leverages local partnerships and contextual understanding of African markets to scale efficiently across borders. With the combination of technological sophistication and cultural adaptability, POZI aims to become the preferred fleet management solution and a trusted data partner for African leaders.

POZI’s seed round with Saviu Ventures is more than a corporate milestone—it symbolizes the growing maturity and visibility of Gabon’s innovation ecosystem on the continental stage. By merging connectivity, data intelligence, and purpose-driven growth, POZI positions itself at the intersection of technology and impact. As it expands into new markets, the startup is not only transforming mobility but also proving that African-led innovation can attract global capital and deliver regional transformation.
