Peach Payments has expanded its in-store payment offering by making PayJustNow available on its Digit Pro and Go POS devices, giving merchants in Mauritius a more integrated way to offer Buy Now, Pay Later and retail credit at checkout. The launch connects Peach Payments’ point-of-sale infrastructure with PayJustNow’s flexible payment products, allowing retailers to provide customers with cashflow-friendly payment options directly at the till. The move is aimed at improving the in-store payment experience while reducing operational friction for merchants that previously relied on more manual BNPL processes.
A More Integrated Checkout Experience
The integration enables sales amounts to be captured directly through the POS device, rather than requiring customers or staff to manually enter transaction values. This reduces the risk of errors at checkout and removes the need for static printed QR codes, which merchants often had to display alongside separate payment devices. According to Peach Payments, the solution also supports single reconciliation across multiple transactions, helping merchants simplify back-office payment management.
Partnership Between Peach Payments and PayJustNow
Anine de Kock, Head of Partnerships at Peach Payments, said the solution provides an easier way for merchants to integrate PayJustNow into their existing Peach Payments POS terminals. Daniel Hawkins, Executive Head of Marketing at PayJustNow, said the single integration gives merchants access to both BNPL and credit products while connecting them to PayJustNow’s consumer base of more than four million users. The partnership reflects growing demand for flexible payment tools as retailers look for ways to support customers who want more control over how they manage purchases.
Focus on Medium and Large Merchants
The new payment capability is targeted primarily at medium to large enterprise merchants, particularly those operating in retail environments where speed, accuracy and customer convenience are critical. Peach Payments said the solution has been piloted since early 2026 with five merchants and is now being rolled out to the existing merchant bases of both Peach Payments and PayJustNow. By embedding flexible payment options directly into the POS flow, the companies aim to make BNPL more practical for physical stores and more scalable for merchants with higher transaction volumes.
Broader Product Capabilities
Beyond PayJustNow integration, Peach Payments’ Digit Pro device supports customised checkout flows and can run applications for functions such as stock control, loyalty and rewards. This positions the POS device as more than a payments terminal, giving merchants a broader platform for managing customer interactions and operational processes at the point of sale. The addition of PayJustNow strengthens that proposition by combining payment acceptance, flexible credit options and merchant workflow improvements within a single device.
The launch of PayJustNow on Peach Payments’ POS devices marks a practical step in the evolution of in-store retail payments in Mauritius. By removing manual steps, reducing checkout clutter and improving transaction accuracy, the integration is designed to make flexible payments easier for both merchants and consumers. As demand for BNPL and alternative credit continues to grow, partnerships of this kind are likely to play a larger role in shaping omnichannel retail payment experiences.
