Paystack has launched the Paystack Small Business Program in Nigeria, introducing a package of commercial support aimed at helping small businesses manage operations, identify growth opportunities and secure resources for expansion. The payments technology company said the initiative begins with the Paystack Small Business Bundle, which gives qualifying merchants access to discounts worth up to ₦4 million from selected business-service partners. Announced in Lagos on 22 June 2026, the program reflects Paystack’s effort to extend its role beyond payment processing by addressing practical obstacles faced by its merchant base.

Addressing Everyday Operating Challenges

Small businesses are a major part of Nigeria’s economy, yet many must contend with recurring pressures around sales administration, recordkeeping, customer acquisition, delivery coordination and the cost of essential digital tools. Paystack said the new program was designed to provide direct, operational assistance as businesses establish themselves, oversee daily activity and prepare for their next phase of development. Rather than focusing on one service alone, the initiative brings together software, operational support and prospective funding under a single small-business platform.

Small Business Bundle

The first component, the Small Business Bundle, offers qualifying Nigerian merchants a set of discounted tools, services and resources across several day-to-day operating categories. These include commerce, bookkeeping, logistics, design, workspaces, customer communications and other digital services that can help businesses improve efficiency and build more sustainable operations. Participating partners include Bumpa, Ijeworks, Wiicreate, Flowcart, Simplebks, Africaworks, Kindlybook, FezDelivery, Gamp, Pressone, Mercurie, Shuttlers and Canva, alongside Paystack’s own offering.

Three-Part Support Model

Paystack plans to build the broader program around three initiatives, beginning with the Bundle and followed by the Paystack Small Business Launchpad and the Paystack Small Business Grant. The Launchpad is intended to provide dedicated, hands-on support for high-potential companies, helping them use Paystack’s products more effectively while accelerating commercial growth. The Grant will provide funding for selected high-potential businesses seeking capital for their next stage, although Paystack did not disclose grant sizes, selection dates or allocation criteria in the announcement.

Eligibility and Scale

Paystack is initially targeting 2,000 Nigerian small and medium-sized businesses through the Bundle, with the company expecting additional partner offers to be added over time. To qualify, merchants must operate in Nigeria, maintain a live Paystack account and have processed at least 10 Paystack transactions during the preceding 30 days. Eligible businesses can review the offers on the Small Business Bundle page, submit their details and receive redemption instructions after Paystack confirms their eligibility.

The program gives Paystack an expanded channel for supporting Nigerian merchants at a time when cost control, operational discipline and access to suitable business services remain central concerns for smaller enterprises. Its combination of partner discounts, hands-on product support and planned grant funding could make it more useful than a conventional merchant-promotion scheme, provided the later initiatives are implemented with clear criteria and accessible participation processes. For Paystack, which says its software is used by more than 400,000 organisations across Nigeria, Ghana, South Africa, Kenya and Côte d’Ivoire, the program also strengthens its connection to the entrepreneurs using its payment infrastructure.
