Origin, an AI-native platform for managing global employee benefits, has secured $30 million in a Series A+ funding round, elevating its total capital raised to over $50 million in the last year. The investment, led by Notion Capital with participation from existing investors, will accelerate the company's mission to bring clarity and efficiency to corporate benefits spending. Origin aims to transform one of the largest and most opaque areas of enterprise expenditure through its innovative technology.


Addressing a Complex Challenge

Multinational corporations face a significant challenge in managing employee benefits, which often represent their second-largest expense after payroll. This spending is notoriously difficult to track due to data being fragmented across numerous countries, vendors, and systems. The lack of a unified view means that even senior executives struggle to verify total costs, hindering strategic financial planning and oversight.

An AI-Powered Solution

Origin addresses this long-standing issue with its Enterprise Benefits Intelligence system, powered by a proprietary AI engine named Cuido™. The platform ingests and structures complex, unstructured data from sources like insurance contracts, broker reports, and vendor portals in multiple languages. This technology provides organizations with a unified, actionable view of their global benefits for the first time, enabling data-driven decision-making.

The company was founded by CEO Chris Bruce and CTO Pete Craghill, the team behind the successful benefits administration platform Darwin, which was acquired by Mercer in 2016. Investor confidence is high, with Notion Capital leading the new round after participating in the company's previous Series A. This continued support from existing investors, including Felix Capital and Acadian Ventures, signals strong belief in Origin's rapid execution and differentiated product vision. The firm's ability to acquire and deliver value to complex global clients so quickly has been a key factor in securing this additional capital.
