NG.CASH, a Brazilian fintech built for young consumers and the creator economy, announced on September 23, 2026, that it has secured a US$15 million strategic investment led by Blockchain Capital. The round represents the global venture firm's first investment in Brazil and brings NG.CASH's total funding since its 2021 founding to more than US$65 million. The fresh capital will be used entirely to pursue a Virtual Asset Service Provider license from the Central Bank of Brazil.

From YouTube channel to financial platform

NG.CASH began in 2021 as an offshoot of a YouTube channel that has since grown from 10 million to 20 million subscribers. The platform now serves more than 10 million accounts, with a large share of users coming from middle and lower income households across Brazil. For many of these customers, NG.CASH represents the first financial account ever opened by anyone in their family.

Addressing a gap in the financial system

The company says millions of young Brazilians have grown up without a financial platform built for the way they actually live and bank. NG.CASH was created to fill that gap, but it does not intend to remain only a bank for teenagers. The fintech plans to evolve alongside its users as they build their financial lives and adopt new forms of money.

Regulatory focus and license requirements

The company holds two Central Bank of Brazil licenses: a direct credit society license and a payment institution license. It also has a Virtual Asset Service Provider license application in process, and Brazilian regulators have given fintechs until the end of October to file such requests. Chief Executive Officer Mario Augusto Sá said the company quickly brought in investors after the central bank published its rules earlier this year.

Credit growth and upcoming funding plans

NG.CASH is expanding its credit operations through products such as Crédito CLT and Pix Crédito. The company intends to structure a credit rights investment fund next year as part of its plan to reach BRL 1 billion in originated credit by the end of 2027. In 2028 the fintech expects to seek up to US$100 million in a Series C round.

Blockchain strategy and investor confidence

Blockchain Capital General Partner Kinjal Shah said the firm has spent years looking beyond the United States for the next generation of category defining fintech companies. She described Brazil as a market likely to produce those leaders and said NG.CASH has proven its ability to build and scale a platform young Brazilians actually use. The investment reinforces the company's ambition to embed blockchain technology into everyday financial accounts.

Digital asset ambitions and market position

NG.CASH believes blockchain infrastructure can support tokenized assets, stablecoins, fractional assets and credit card backing without requiring users to understand the underlying technology. The company's experience as a mass market distributor through a YouTube channel positions it as a potential early mover in stablecoin and crypto adoption at scale in Brazil. The entry of Blockchain Capital adds global expertise alongside existing investors including a16z, NEA and Monashees.

The new funding highlights continued venture capital interest in Brazilian fintech as investors look beyond saturated markets. NG.CASH expects the capital to strengthen its regulatory foundation and accelerate its transition from youth-focused banking toward broader digital finance. With credit targets and future fundraising plans already outlined, the company is positioning itself for long term expansion in Brazil's evolving financial system.
