Nexedge Capital, a wealth management and multi-family office platform for high-net-worth and ultra-high-net-worth clients, has raised $20 million (₹191.4 crore) in primary capital in its first institutional funding round. The investment was co-led by Mirae Asset Venture Investment and Elev8 Venture Partners. The company will use the fresh funds to accelerate technology development, expand its senior banker network, and extend its presence across India.
Capital Deployment and Expansion Plans
The firm intends to strengthen its proprietary technology stack and expand its network of senior bankers, with plans to onboard another 50 to 60 professionals during 2026. A portion of the capital will support entry into tier two and tier three cities, broadening access beyond major metropolitan markets. Nexedge also plans to build complementary offerings such as a dedicated non-resident Indian proposition and a non-banking financial company business.
Founding Team and Ownership Structure
Nexedge Capital was founded in February 2025 by Anirudha Taparia, formerly co-founder and joint chief executive officer of 360 ONE Wealth, along with Sidhartha Shaw, Vijeeta Sharma and Pankaj Walia. The founding team is supported by 15 partners with experience at institutions such as Citibank, Kotak Wealth and Standard Chartered. More than 150 senior leaders have invested their own capital in the business, creating an ownership model that investors regard as a major differentiator.
Client Growth and Assets Under Management
Since its launch, the firm has crossed $3 billion in assets under management and over $5 billion in assets under administration within eighteen months of operations. Nexedge serves more than 1,300 families across 12 locations and has onboarded over 95 senior bankers to date. Its ecosystem spans financial investments, portfolio management, estate planning, business expansion and global mobility services tailored to each family's goals.
Investor Confidence and Market Opportunity
Puneet Kumar, chief executive officer of Mirae Asset Venture Investment, said the ownership structure was central to the investment decision because more than 150 senior leaders have committed their own capital as owners rather than employees. Navin Honagudi, managing partner of Elev8 Venture Partners, noted that India's high-net-worth and ultra-high-net-worth wealth pool is at the start of a multi-decade compounding cycle. He added that wealth management rewards patience and that trust is earned over market cycles, not quarters.
Competitive Landscape and Industry Growth
The funding highlights a growing wave of investment in wealth management startups serving affluent Indian clients. Dovetail Capital recently raised a ₹100 crore Series A round, while CREST emerged from stealth with a $3.1 million pre-seed round earlier this year. The broader market is projected to reach $436 billion by 2034, and the number of Indian millionaires is expected to double from 9 lakh to 18 lakh by 2030, according to a UBS global wealth report.
The $20 million round equips Nexedge Capital to scale its net-worth management model, which focuses on a family's entire balance sheet rather than only investible surplus. With plans to deepen its banker network, enhance technology and enter new markets, the firm is positioning itself to capture a larger share of India's expanding affluent segment. Institutional support from Mirae Asset and Elev8 underscores confidence in the leadership, ownership structure and long-term growth strategy.
