Netris, a provider of network automation for AI infrastructure, has secured $15 million in a Series A funding round led by Andreessen Horowitz. This investment follows a period of explosive growth, with the company reporting an 800% increase in annual recurring revenue over the past year. The funding will fuel Netris's mission to help AI cloud operators turn their GPU investments into revenue more efficiently.

The Challenge of AI Network Complexity

The rapid expansion of AI has created unprecedented complexity in data center networking, a challenge that Netris aims to solve. A single GPU server requires numerous distinct network connections, and managing these across thousands of switches for multiple tenants is a significant operational hurdle. One misconfiguration can lead to cluster-wide outages or critical data breaches, slowing down deployment and revenue generation for operators.

A Purpose-Built Automation Platform

In response, Netris developed its Network Automation, Abstraction, and Multi-Tenancy (NAAM) platform as a modern solution. The platform provides a unified control plane to manage diverse network fabrics, including Ethernet and NVIDIA InfiniBand, from a single interface. This approach is purpose-built for the multi-layered network architectures that GPU clusters demand, succeeding legacy systems that were not designed for this scale.

Validated by Rapid Market Adoption

The company's platform has gained significant traction, evidenced by its 35 live deployments and 800% ARR growth in the last year. Its client roster includes high-growth neoclouds like Lightning AI, sovereign AI providers such as TELUS, and AI factories like Foxconn-backed Visionbay.ai. This widespread adoption underscores the critical need for specialized network automation in the burgeoning AI sector.

Strategic Investment and Vision

The investment was led by Andreessen Horowitz partner Guido Appenzeller, who will join the Netris board of directors. He noted that every computing era requires a new networking foundation and that Netris is providing that for the age of AI. The firm's backing signals strong confidence in Netris's ability to become a standard for AI cloud operators globally.

Fueling Future Growth

The $15 million in new capital will be strategically deployed to accelerate Netris's market leadership and global expansion. The company plans to grow its teams and deepen its extensive partner ecosystem, which includes key players like NVIDIA and HPE. These funds will support the company as it helps operators navigate what is being called the largest infrastructure buildout in history.

Netris's successful Series A round validates its crucial role in the AI infrastructure ecosystem by solving a critical operational bottleneck. By simplifying complex network automation and enabling secure multi-tenancy, the company allows GPU cloud providers to scale more effectively. With this new capital, Netris is well-positioned to expand its operations and solidify its standing as a foundational technology partner.
