Addressing Global Supply Constraints
Global demand across defense and manufacturing is growing rapidly, but the production infrastructure capable of reliably meeting that demand remains limited. Major defense companies cannot fulfill large-scale procurement needs through their own facilities alone, while many Korean factories have been unable to secure international sales channels. These manufacturers often struggle with the compliance, documentation, and traceability standards expected by global buyers, despite their high levels of quality and productivity.
F4GE's Programmable Manufacturing Model
F4GE addresses this gap by bringing Korean factories into what it describes as a programmable manufacturing network for global defense and advanced manufacturing companies. Its proprietary software is deployed within existing factory environments to collect real-time data on equipment, processes, inspections, and workflows. That data is then converted into standardized documentation and compliance systems, enabling Korean suppliers to enter global supply chains without large-scale system replacements.

F4GE is currently expanding partnerships with core manufacturing factories across Korea's southeastern hubs, including Sacheon, Changwon, and Busan. The company is also broadening its network with demand-side organizations in North America and Europe across defense, aerospace, shipbuilding, and robotics. Funding and Leadership
Founded in January 2026, F4GE has secured its first institutional funding through this investment round. Participating investors include NAVER D2SF, KNET Investment Partners, Sazze Partners, DCAMP, and 500 Global. Chief Executive Officer Hyukhyun Kwon brings operational and investment experience from the Republic of Korea Navy Special Warfare Flotilla, a prior defense startup, and work with artificial intelligence and manufacturing startups in the United States.

Sanghwan Yang, Head of NAVER D2SF, said defense and manufacturing are sectors where global supply chain restructuring and technological advancement are creating new opportunities at the same time. He added that F4GE is building a structure connecting Korea's manufacturing strengths with global demand, which can help domestic infrastructure play a greater role in global value chains. NAVER D2SF has also opened an investment call for startups in data integration, simulation, physical AI, defense-focused artificial intelligence, manufacturing automation, and cybersecurity.
