Natural, a company developing foundational financial infrastructure for artificial intelligence agents, has announced a significant capital injection. The firm secured a credit facility of up to $100 million from Upper90 Capital Management. This financing is earmarked to support the growing capital needs of its payments and credit products as AI agents become more prevalent in the global economy.

Addressing a Capital-Intensive Challenge

The company's strategy addresses a core challenge in the payments industry, which is fundamentally a capital problem at scale. Trillions of dollars are transferred globally each day, with a significant portion relying on credit extensions before final cash settlement. This existing complexity highlights the need for robust capital backing in financial technology.

Natural anticipates that AI agents will dramatically increase the demand for financial services and credit. The company projects that these autonomous entities will require capital at a rate far exceeding traditional, human-driven payment verticals. This new credit facility is structured to scale in tandem with this expected surge in demand, ensuring support for greater payment volumes.

A Strategic Partnership for Future Scale

Kahlil Lalji, CEO and Co-founder of Natural, emphasized the strategic nature of the partnership with Upper90. He stated the goal was to find a partner who shared their vision for the future scale of an agent-led economy. The collaboration is built to support growth from the first million to the first billion dollars in deployed credit.

Upper90 expressed strong confidence in Natural's potential to lead this market transformation. Dallin Rosdahl, a Managing Director at the firm, noted that "agentic payments" are poised to reshape commerce. He affirmed their excitement in partnering with Natural to support the company's ambitious vision for the future of transactions.

Building a Comprehensive Financial Stack

Natural is focused on building a comprehensive, vertically integrated payments stack for the AI era. This infrastructure is designed to give AI agents the tools required to move money, access capital, and transact programmatically. The platform aims to be the foundational layer for AI-driven economic activity across the globe.

This latest financing builds upon a strong foundation of previous investment in the company. Natural has already raised over $40 million in equity from a prominent group of investors. This includes firms and individuals from Forerunner, Human Capital, Brex, and Notion, among others.

This $100 million credit facility marks a pivotal moment for Natural and the emerging agentic economy. It provides the company with the substantial capital required to underpin the financial transactions of future AI systems. The move positions Natural as a key infrastructure provider for the next wave of automated commerce.
