Cyber resilience startup Mitigata has secured $15 million in a Series B funding round led by Bessemer Venture Partners. The Bengaluru-based company will use the capital to fuel its international expansion and enhance its AI-native security platform. This investment, supported by existing backers like Nexus Venture Partners, underscores growing confidence in Mitigata's integrated approach to managing digital threats and financial risk.

Strategic Expansion and Technological Advancement

The fresh capital is earmarked for a multi-faceted growth strategy, including a significant push into international markets. Mitigata plans to establish a presence in the Middle East, North Africa, and Southeast Asia while exploring opportunities in the United States. This global expansion will be coupled with doubling its workforce across key divisions like engineering and customer success.

A core focus of the investment will be on advancing the company's proprietary AI technologies and scaling its domestic Security Operations Centre (SOC). The company aims to build India's largest SOC, enhancing its capacity for automated threat detection and incident response. These technological upgrades are crucial for supporting its growing client base and ambitious international roadmap.

A Unified Platform for Cyber Resilience

Mitigata distinguishes itself from traditional cybersecurity firms by offering a full-stack cyber resilience platform. Founded in 2023, the company integrates AI-powered security operations, risk intelligence, compliance automation, and incident response into a single solution. This unified model is designed to help organizations manage both security threats and the associated financial losses more effectively.

The platform's offerings include its security co-pilot, Gordon AI, and a proprietary risk assessment engine called RELIQ. As India's first IRDAI-regulated broker focused on cyber insurance, Mitigata uniquely combines technological defense with financial risk transfer. This comprehensive approach simplifies complex security challenges for enterprises by eliminating the need for multiple vendors.

Demonstrating Strong Market Traction

The company has demonstrated remarkable growth, reporting a 12X to 15X year-over-year increase in business. Its AI-powered SOC has successfully triaged over one million security incidents within the last year alone. This operational scale serves a diverse client base of over 800 organizations across critical sectors like finance, healthcare, and manufacturing.

According to co-founder and COO Sarthak Dubey, this rapid adoption reflects a market shift towards integrated solutions. Enterprises are increasingly seeking a single partner to manage their entire cybersecurity lifecycle rather than juggling multiple specialized products. Mitigata's platform directly addresses this demand for streamlined and comprehensive cyber resilience management.

Investor Conviction in an AI-First Era

Investors have expressed strong confidence in Mitigata's vision and its ability to address modern security challenges. Pankaj Mitra of Bessemer Venture Partners highlighted the "perfect storm" of AI-driven attacks and a cybersecurity talent shortage, calling Mitigata's platform timely. Anand Datta from Nexus Venture Partners added that the company is defining a new category in the industry.

CEO Mohit Anand stated that as AI becomes more integrated into critical infrastructure, security transforms into a question of national importance. This perspective aligns with the growing industry consensus that resilience is a defining capability for modern enterprises. The funding reflects a shared belief in India's potential to build world-class cyber infrastructure for a global market.

This $15 million funding round positions Mitigata to accelerate its mission of building a comprehensive cyber resilience infrastructure. By investing in global expansion, AI innovation, and talent, the company is poised to meet the escalating demand for unified security solutions. The investment not only validates Mitigata's impressive growth but also signals its potential to become a key player in the global cybersecurity landscape.
