Lumio, the consumer technology brand from Circuit House Technologies, has raised US$12 million in a Series A funding round. The investment was led by Blume Ventures, with participation from existing backers Stellaris Venture Partners and 3one4 Capital. The company, launched in 2025 with smart TVs, projectors, and speakers, will use the capital to grow the brand, accelerate research and development, and expand its talent base.

Funding Details and Investor Confidence

Blume Ventures led the Series A through its Fund V, reflecting strong institutional confidence in Lumio's growth. The startup will use the funding to deepen its presence in existing product categories, develop new home devices, and improve after-sales service. It also plans to build an offline retail presence so more customers can experience its products before purchase.

Strategic Endorsement from Investors and Founders

Kailash Sankaranarayanan, Co-founder and COO, said the company has shown it can build products Indian households want across more than one category. CEO Raghu Reddy described the backing of existing investors and the addition of Blume Ventures as a powerful endorsement of the mission to transform the living room experience. Blume Ventures Partner Sajith Pai added that India's 30 to 35 million affluent households are reimagining their living rooms and no longer default to legacy brands.

Market Traction and Consumer Insights

Lumio crossed ₹1 billion in gross merchandise value within 13 months of commercial sales, according to company statements. It now serves more than 35,000 households across over 5,000 pin codes. Around 64% of its customers are upgrading from established brands such as Sony, Samsung, LG, and Xiaomi, while more than 40% use iPhones, signaling a relatively affluent consumer base.

Product Strategy and Software Differentiation

Lumio's portfolio currently focuses on smart TVs and projectors, with speakers also in development. Its average selling price is about ₹32,500, roughly 1.6 times the category average. The company has built TLDR, a software layer on top of Android and Google TV that reduces content fatigue, and about half of TV buyers use it every month.

Early Momentum and Online Rankings

Lumio reached number five in Amazon TV brand searches within four months of launch. It became the best-selling projector brand on Amazon within a month of entering the category. The company generated about ₹600 million in net revenue in its first year, with a contribution margin positive portfolio and tight working capital.

Leadership and Industry Expertise

Lumio was founded by Raghu Reddy and Kailash Sankaranarayanan, who bring complementary strengths in consumer technology and brand building. Reddy previously served as Chief Business Officer at Xiaomi India, where he helped scale the television business into a substantial franchise. Sankaranarayanan has led categories at Flipkart and held marketing roles at TI Cycles and HUL.

Future Roadmap and Offline Expansion

With fresh capital, Lumio plans to expand into newer categories and devices for the home segment while going deeper into existing products. The company intends to increase its headcount to provide wider after-sales coverage. It also aims to grow its offline retail footprint, complementing strong online traction.

Lumio's Series A round marks a notable step in its effort to build a homegrown consumer electronics brand for Indian living rooms. By combining strong online momentum, user-focused software, and an experienced leadership team, the company aims to compete with global incumbents at a mid-premium price point. The new capital positions Lumio to broaden its portfolio and strengthen customer trust across more households.
