Logidoo, a Senegalese logistics and cross-border trade platform, has announced the extension of its Casablanca–Dakar corridor to Belgium. This development establishes a crucial new logistics route linking Europe, North Africa, and West Africa. The move aims to facilitate smoother trade flows and support European manufacturers and e-commerce businesses eager to tap into African markets.

A Strategic Partnership Enhancing Connectivity

The expansion is powered by a strategic alliance with a leading Belgian logistics operator, enabling Logidoo to provide a regular consolidation service connecting Belgium, Morocco, and multiple West African countries. This partnership enables efficient parcel drop-off and collection services, groupage shipments at competitive rates, and a comprehensive integrated solution. The solution includes storage, customs clearance, last-mile delivery, cash-on-delivery, and secure remittance, creating a seamless experience for clients.

Morocco as a Regional Logistics Hub

According to Tamsir Ousmane Traoré, CEO of Logidoo, the Belgium–Casablanca–Dakar corridor embodies the company's vision of positioning Morocco as a pivotal logistics hub. Morocco will serve as a critical node that channels and redistributes goods from Europe into the West African region. This approach underscores the growing importance of Morocco in regional trade networks and logistics infrastructure.

Comprehensive Logistics Solutions Across Markets

Founded in 2020, Logidoo has built a comprehensive platform that covers the entire logistics value chain by integrating actors from both formal and informal sectors. This inclusive strategy ensures broad market coverage encompassing transportation, cash management, and last-mile delivery. With operations already spanning Senegal, Morocco, Ivory Coast, and Tunisia, Logidoo has onboarded over 3,000 logistics providers, executed more than 100,000 operations, and served upwards of 400 clients.

Investment and Innovation Fuel Growth

Logidoo’s rapid expansion has been backed by a US$1.5 million funding round raised last year to support its ambitious growth plans. Additionally, the launch of Afridoo, a dedicated tool designed to simplify online sales and empower African merchants, demonstrates the company’s commitment to innovation. These initiatives align with Logidoo’s mission to disrupt traditional logistics and trade practices in Africa through technology and partnerships.

Opportunities for European Brands and E-Commerce

The new corridor presents a unique opportunity for European brands and distributors to enter African markets with an efficient, end-to-end logistics solution. By leveraging Morocco’s strategic position and Logidoo’s robust network, companies can access West African markets with greater ease and reduced costs. This corridor promises to streamline supply chains, making cross-border commerce more accessible for small and large players alike.

Logidoo’s expansion of the Casablanca–Dakar corridor to Belgium represents a significant advancement in Africa-Europe trade connectivity. By integrating regional logistics with European operations, the platform fosters a more inclusive and efficient trade ecosystem. This initiative not only supports economic growth in West Africa but also positions Morocco as a vital logistics hub in the global trade landscape.
