Kenya's state-backed Nairobi International Financial Centre (NIFC) is significantly expanding its strategic partnership with ChainBLX SPC to cement the nation's status as Africa's premier innovation gateway. This enhanced collaboration introduces the Prompter Community, a major initiative powered by the visual, no-code AI orchestration platform, FlowPrompt.ai. The program is strategically designed to cultivate a new generation of African tech talent, developers, and entrepreneurs, providing them with world-class tools and opportunities.

Fostering Innovation with AI

The partnership builds upon a successful prior engagement through ChainBLX’s SCC Fund SP, now extending its reach through the Art Fund SP and its key portfolio company, FlowPrompt.ai. This cutting-edge platform empowers users to construct sophisticated AI-driven workflows by integrating multiple models and data streams without writing traditional code. This approach democratizes AI development, significantly lowering the technical barrier for aspiring founders and developers across the African continent to bring their ideas to life.

Launching the Prompter Community

At the heart of this collaboration is the launch of the Prompter Community, an ambitious initiative designed to nurture Africa’s next wave of innovators and creators. The program will feature a comprehensive series of hackathons, targeted capacity-building sessions, and direct pathways to investment opportunities for promising ventures. Applications are now officially open to Kenyan innovators, developers, and startups until the deadline of September 1, 2026, accessible directly through the FlowPrompt.ai platform.

Participants selected for the program will receive substantial support, including complimentary access to the advanced FlowPrompt.ai platform, dedicated mentorship from industry experts, and crucial exposure to potential investment channels. The initiative will culminate in a high-profile showcase at Digital Davos in January 2027, an event held alongside the prestigious World Economic Forum in Switzerland. There, the top-performing innovators and winning teams will be unveiled on a global stage, gaining international recognition.

Strategic Vision for Kenya's Digital Future

Underscoring the project's national importance, NIFC Chief Executive Officer Daniel Mainda stated, “Kenya is no longer simply participating in the global digital economy; we are deliberately shaping its future.” His direct involvement as a head judge for the hackathon series signals a strong, formal government-level commitment to fostering local talent. This strategic investment is a clear move to establish Nairobi not just as a financial gateway but as a global hub for innovation.

Echoing this sentiment, ChainBLX CEO Karl Seelig described Kenya as presenting “one of the most forward-looking investment environments globally.” This public-private partnership directly aligns with Kenya’s broader national agenda to accelerate digital transformation, create high-value jobs, and attract significant global investment. It reinforces Nairobi's growing reputation as the preferred destination for technology-enabled enterprises seeking access to Africa’s rapidly expanding markets and dynamic ecosystem.

Ultimately, this deepened alliance between the NIFC and ChainBLX represents a pivotal investment in Africa's digital future, solidifying Nairobi's role as a continental leader. By strategically combining global capital, advanced technology, and homegrown talent, the initiative is building a robust and sustainable ecosystem for African innovation to flourish. The program is poised to empower a new generation of entrepreneurs, equipping them to develop scalable solutions for both local and global challenges.
