IODM Limited (ASX: IOD) has reported a 10.2% year-on-year increase in total revenue for the calendar year to August 31, 2026, alongside the first confirmed onboarding tranche of 15 US universities through its TransferMate partnership. The Melbourne-based accounts receivable technology provider achieved this growth despite a 22.4% decline in UK international student visa applications over the comparable period. The update highlights stronger transaction activity, new university contributions, and expanded commercial momentum across the UK, Europe, and North America.

US Rollout Begins With 15 Universities

IODM has confirmed that 15 US universities have elected to onboard IODM Connect through TransferMate, with implementation beginning immediately. TransferMate has advised that the institutions are targeted to be live and contributing revenue during the December quarter of 2026. This group represents the first expected tranche from the 283-university portfolio announced in IODM's April 9, 2026 platform agreement.

One-to-Many Rollout Model

The arrangement is designed as a one-to-many rollout model intended to accelerate implementation compared with traditional institution-by-institution sales. IODM Connect is a cloud-based platform that automates invoicing, payment reminders, escalation, and analytics for organizations collecting money owed. The company also expects to enter service level agreements with each university as the program progresses.

Revenue Growth Despite Market Headwinds

IODM's total revenue for the calendar year to August 31, 2026 increased 10.2% year-on-year, even as UK international student visa applications fell 22.4% between January and August. Like-for-like student transactions rose 9.4%, while like-for-like revenue decreased 2.7%, which the company described as broadly stable. The reporting period also included the cessation of the minimum payment previously received from Convera.

New Universities Strengthen Diversification

New universities contributed 13.7% to revenue growth during the period with four months of contribution, reflecting the early impact of IODM's expansion strategy. The company said this performance demonstrates that IODM Connect adds value within university accounts-receivable workflows. IODM added that its customer base, platform penetration, and partner-led expansion are creating a stronger foundation than reliance on student-volume trends alone.

UK and European Commercial Momentum

IODM and Convera have expanded their university footprint from 21 to 27 accounts through four additional wins, including the company's first non-UK European university in Italy. Two of the new contracts involve substantial UK universities, with one secured through a competitive tender process and the second following a series of presentations. Initial onboarding has commenced across these accounts, underscoring the relevance of the platform for institutions managing complex cross-border fee collection.

Partner Ecosystem and Strategic Outlook

In June 2026, IODM expanded its TransferMate revenue-share framework to include UK and European universities, complementing its existing activities in the region. The company's partner ecosystem now supports implementation pipelines across the UK, Europe, and North America. IODM says its focus remains on disciplined execution, including university onboarding, market penetration, partner conversion, and operating leverage as the platform scales.

Leadership Commentary

CEO Mark Reilly said the recent seasonal period demonstrated the company's progress in building a stronger and more scalable education business. He noted that despite clear headwinds in the UK international student market, like-for-like transaction growth, stable underlying revenue, and new university contributions show continued execution. Reilly added that the UK university wins and the first 15-university US onboarding tranche provide further momentum into what has historically been the strongest quarter.

Overall, IODM enters the seasonally stronger next quarter with broader commercial opportunities and an expanding implementation pipeline. The company acknowledges it remains exposed to movements in international student volumes, but argues its diversified customer base and partner-led model provide greater resilience. It also recently raised A$1 million to support the North American rollout as the first US tranche and recent European contract wins position IODM to build on revenue growth.
