Innercrowd, a marketing technology company based in The Hague, announced on 8 October 2026 that it has raised €750,000 to accelerate its international expansion as European festivals search for new ways to strengthen ticket sales. The platform helps organizers activate existing fans early and turn loyalty into ticket revenue and broader reach. Since its launch, Innercrowd has generated more than €12.5 million in revenue for over 100 festival clients across Europe.

Mounting Pressure on Festival Ticket Sales

Festivalgoers are becoming more selective and waiting longer to buy tickets, a pattern visible at major events such as Lowlands in the Netherlands and Wacken Open Air in Germany. Rising costs and a crowded festival market have made sellouts less certain, and WOMAD Glasgow was canceled after disappointing ticket sales. The European Festival Survey 2025 found that only 17% of festivals surveyed were fully sold out.

From Early Bird to Ambassador

Innercrowd responds by helping festivals activate their most loyal fans early in the sales cycle. Fans who sign up for a presale or early bird sale receive access to a WhatsApp shop where they can purchase tickets directly inside the messaging app. The company says this early commitment gives fans more time to share content and encourage their friends to attend.

AI Agents Support One-to-One Conversations

AI agents power one-to-one conversations with fans at scale, answering questions and guiding potential buyers toward purchase without requiring a marketer to be online. This automation allows organizers to maintain personal engagement even during high-volume presale periods. According to Innercrowd, these WhatsApp-based campaigns deliver conversion rates that are 50% higher than traditional email presale campaigns.

Fans as Content Creators and Marketers

The company has already mobilized nearly 32,000 active ambassadors who have completed more than 740,000 marketing activities, including sharing content, promoting lineups, and selling tickets. Co-founder Benjamin Havenaar said people see a huge amount of content and advertising every day, making it harder for paid campaigns to stand out. A recommendation from a friend, he added, has a very different impact than another ad in a feed.

Organic Content Benefits Organizers

Innercrowd's approach also produces a steady stream of fan-generated photos, videos, and organic content around each festival. Organizers can reuse that material in their own marketing, reducing their in-house content production burden. This creates a more cost-effective promotional cycle while highlighting authentic voices from the festival community, which can be more persuasive than polished brand messages.

Proven Results Across Europe

Innercrowd already serves more than 100 clients, including Exe Club, Soenda Festival, and REBiRTH, and operates in five countries such as the Netherlands, Belgium, and Germany. The platform has also gained clients in Bulgaria and Poland. The company reports that its ambassador-driven model has consistently helped organizers secure earlier revenue and wider audience reach.

International Expansion Plans

With Amsterdam Dance Event approaching, Innercrowd is focused on accelerating growth beyond its home market. The new €750,000 investment will be used to support that international expansion and strengthen its presence in existing European markets. The company plans to help more organizers build loyal communities at a time when ticket sales require stronger fan engagement and more direct audience relationships.

Investor Confidence in Fan Loyalty

Investor and entrepreneur Hans Scheffer said the pressure on ticket sales is not limited to the Netherlands, and festivals across Europe must work harder to build loyalty among fans. He noted that Innercrowd shows how much more value can be unlocked from fans organizers already have. According to Scheffer, the approach works in the Dutch market and has strong potential internationally.

Founded in 2024 by Benjamin Havenaar and Job Vink, Innercrowd has grown quickly into a marketing platform used by more than 100 festivals. The company's results demonstrate that activating existing fans can deliver measurable ticket revenue and organic reach in a challenging live events market. With its latest funding round, Innercrowd is positioned to expand its ambassador-driven model to more festival organizers across Europe.
