Swedish investment firm Incore Invest has signed an agreement to acquire CoreOrchestration AB, the company behind the PaymentIQ payment orchestration platform, from Worldline. The deal, described as a nine-figure transaction, is expected to close in the first quarter of 2026. Once completed, CoreOrchestration will be carved out from Worldline and operate as an independent company under Incore Invest’s ownership.

Details of the Transaction

The transaction is structured as a carve out, with CoreOrchestration transitioning to operate as a standalone business separate from Worldline. Incore Invest will take full ownership at closing and position itself as an active, long term owner focused on accelerating the company’s product and commercial momentum.

Profile of CoreOrchestration

CoreOrchestration AB was founded in Sweden in 2014 and has grown into a sizable software business with annual revenue of around €50 million. The company’s performance is supported by solid growth and strong unit economics. Following the carve out, CoreOrchestration will operate independently while continuing to serve its existing merchant customers and partners.

PaymentIQ and Its Role in Commerce

PaymentIQ, CoreOrchestration’s flagship platform, is a SaaS payment orchestration solution that helps merchants centrally manage, optimize and scale payment flows across providers and markets. Through a single integration, the platform connects merchants to more than 260 payment service providers, reducing the cost and complexity of adding new providers, supporting expansion into new markets and enabling more flexible checkout experiences.

Incore Invest’s Strategic Rationale

For Incore Invest, the acquisition is a targeted bet on a segment it knows well and views as having high growth potential. Founder and CEO Nicolai Chamizo describes PaymentIQ as a proven, highly scalable platform with an exceptional breadth of integrations and meaningful further upside. He argues that operating as a standalone company should allow CoreOrchestration to increase speed and agility and pursue its next phase of growth more effectively.

Alignment with Worldline’s Transformation

The sale aligns with Worldline’s ongoing simplification journey under its North Star transformation plan. By carving out CoreOrchestration, Worldline narrows its focus while creating the conditions for the business to move faster and invest with greater focus under new ownership. Incore Invest, which brings hands-on experience with payment orchestration platforms in both PSP and merchant environments, intends to work closely with the company to strengthen product packaging, sharpen execution and capture additional growth opportunities.

CoreOrchestration Leadership Perspective

CoreOrchestration’s leadership views the transaction as a pivotal step in the company’s evolution. Managing Director and CEO Neil D’Souza highlights PaymentIQ’s position as one of the most comprehensive orchestration platforms for European merchants with global ambitions. He notes that the team is excited to take the business to the next level as a focused standalone player in Incore Invest’s portfolio.

Market Context and Growth Opportunities

The acquisition comes as merchants across Europe and beyond reassess their payment stacks amid rising complexity, higher performance expectations and rapid market expansion. Businesses are seeking architectures that allow them to add providers more easily, support international growth and adapt checkout experiences to local preferences. Incore Invest expects the carve out to accelerate PaymentIQ’s product roadmap and strengthen its position as a needed layer in modern commerce.

The carve out of CoreOrchestration from Worldline and its acquisition by Incore Invest underscores the growing strategic importance of payment orchestration in global digital commerce. With established scale, a broad integration network and a dedicated new owner, PaymentIQ is positioned to focus on product innovation and commercial momentum while supporting merchants as they expand into new markets.
