Evotrex, a California-based startup, has secured $30 million in Series A financing for its intelligent, power-generating recreational vehicles. This round brings the company's total funding to $46 million, providing capital to finalize its debut PG5 hybrid trailer. The investment accelerates development and testing ahead of planned customer deliveries in 2027.


Strategic Funding for Market Entry

The financing round included participation from investors like GSR United Capital, Forebright Concerto Capital, and Pegasus Capital. This capital infusion validates Evotrex's vision and provides the resources to transition from prototype to full-scale production. The backing positions the company for a strong entry into the evolving outdoor adventure market.

These funds are earmarked for final product development and an extensive automotive-standard validation program starting in late 2026. This testing will cover structural durability, energy management, and towing stability, reflecting a deep commitment to reliability. This approach ensures the PG5 is production-ready for its scheduled 2027 launch.

A Hybrid Approach to Off-Grid Adventure

Differentiating itself from all-electric rivals, Evotrex has engineered the PG5 as a hybrid extended-range electric vehicle. The trailer combines a battery pack with an onboard gas engine for recharging, offering users true energy independence. This system empowers travelers with the freedom to live off-grid for extended periods without compromise.

The company's innovative approach has resonated with consumers, as 90% of its preorders are for the fully-loaded premium model. Priced around $160,000, the PG5 has attracted interest from both EV owners and traditional pickup truck drivers. Evotrex is refining its product through a co-creation process, incorporating direct feedback from its early preorder customers.
