GreyOrange, a global leader in AI-powered warehouse orchestration and store inventory software, announced on October 08, 2026, that it has acquired Site Bionics, developer of an AI-powered digital twin platform. The technology converts a retailer’s existing security cameras into a live, continuously updated model of the store and the people moving through it. Combined with gStore’s item-level RFID intelligence, the acquisition gives retailers a single AI-driven view of products and customers, while financial terms were not disclosed.

Unifying Product and People Intelligence

Site Bionics uses the cameras already installed on store ceilings to build a digital twin of the entire store without requiring new hardware. Its AI explains what it sees, while gStore contributes item-level RFID data to create a single model that unifies product and people intelligence. This combination is designed to replace multiple systems, reduce blind spots, and support faster in-store decisions.

Founder Expertise and Strategic Deployment

The acquired company was founded by Adam Blair, the founding CTO of RADAR, and Don Gillett, the former Head Architect of Amazon Go, both of whom have joined GreyOrange. The Site Bionics team will deploy its technology first in gStore, with plans to extend it into warehouse operations through the GreyMatter platform. Akash Gupta, CEO of GreyOrange, said the founders have spent their careers at the frontier of store intelligence, from item-level RFID to the camera systems behind Amazon Go.

Privacy and Enterprise Security

The platform is built with privacy at its core, ensuring that all tracking is done anonymously and that video is processed on site. Enterprise-grade security and privacy controls protect the entire system, which is intended to help retailers make better use of infrastructure they already own. By relying on existing cameras and RFID tags, the combined solution avoids the cost and complexity of new in-store hardware.

Delivering on a Long-Standing Industry Promise

Adam Blair, Co-Founder of Site Bionics, said the industry has long promised that RFID and computer vision would show the full story of stores, a promise that has gone unmet until now. Don Gillett, Co-Founder and CTO, added that a camera’s real value is in what it measures rather than what it records, and Site Bionics brings that thinking to retail. With GreyOrange’s RFID expertise and Site Bionics’ computer vision capability, the companies are delivering on the combined intelligence vision.

Broader Platform and Company Position

GreyOrange’s vendor-agnostic solutions are delivered through its Certified Partner Network across the Americas, Europe, and Asia. More than US$1 billion in inventory flows through GreyOrange’s systems every month, supporting supply chain and retail leaders in over 3,800 locations worldwide. The gStore platform uses RFID, computer vision, and other sensing technologies to provide Inventory Truth through real-time visibility and actionable insights.

The acquisition strengthens GreyOrange’s position in AI-powered store intelligence by combining computer vision and RFID data across a broad global footprint. Retailers can expect improved inventory accuracy, better store execution, and enhanced omnichannel fulfillment through the gStore platform. As the combined team integrates Site Bionics into gStore and GreyMatter, the company aims to provide a clearer, privacy-conscious picture of products and shopper behavior.
