France Digitale, the association that represents startups and investors across Europe, has announced a change in its executive leadership. Bettina Reveyron will take over as managing director on October 5, succeeding Maya Noël, who had led the organization since October 2021. The transition marks a new chapter for the association as it prepares for important political and economic discussions.
A planned succession at France Digitale
Bettina Reveyron will formally assume the role of managing director at the beginning of October after a transition period. Arthur Nègre has been promoted to deputy managing director to support the new leadership. Nègre joined France Digitale in 2020 and has gradually taken on responsibilities in business development, investor and corporate relations, and revenue management.
Experience across innovation, AI and social impact
Reveyron brings a broad background spanning public and private sector innovation. At Thinkers & Doers she advised organizations on innovation and impact issues, and at Microsoft she served as secretary general of the Impact AI think tank. Since 2021 she has been Social Impact Director at Doctolib, where she focused on diversity, inclusion and environmental impact within the French health technology leader.
A strategic moment for the ecosystem
Her arrival comes shortly after France Digitale's FDDAY event, which attracted several political candidates and ministers. With a presidential election approaching, many entrepreneurs are voicing concerns about the economic and political environment. Reveyron said she joins the association at a particularly important moment for the ecosystem and its future development.
Building European champions
She believes innovation, competitiveness and the ability of companies to grow must be placed at the heart of economic and societal debate. Reveyron added that France has established a solid technology sector but the collective responsibility is now to help it advance further. The goal, she noted, is to support the emergence of more European champions.
Advocacy and ecosystem growth
The organization has long advocated for policies that allow startups to access talent, capital and markets across Europe. As political leaders debate the future of the digital economy, France Digitale intends to make the voice of entrepreneurs heard. Reveyron's appointment is seen as a signal that the association will continue to prioritize growth and innovation in its advocacy.
A growing startup landscape
As the new leadership takes over, the association points to the growing strength of the French startup ecosystem. France now counts 18,000 startups, representing an increase of 1,800 in a single year according to the 2026 innovation ecosystem barometer produced by France Digitale and EY. This growth reinforces the organization's focus on helping French companies scale and compete internationally.
A broader leadership transition
The move also marks the departure of Maya Noël after a five-year mandate. Noël is widely regarded as a respected figure within the startup community and is expected to return to entrepreneurship. Alexandre Labarrière, previously Chief Operating and Marketing Officer, is also leaving France Digitale to launch a new venture with Kéliane Martenon, founder of communications and public relations agency Komando.
This leadership renewal positions France Digitale to strengthen its voice for startups and investors at a critical time. With new executives in place and a clear focus on competitiveness and European champions, the association aims to influence upcoming political debates. The transition reflects both continuity and change within one of France's most prominent technology organizations.
