Checkpoints makes this context durable by automatically capturing it as first-class, versioned data linked directly to the corresponding Git commit.
The tool operates by creating a structured checkpoint object for each agent-generated commit and storing this metadata in a separate branch. This process provides a complete, append-only audit log of the agent's reasoning without altering the primary codebase, enhancing traceability and simplifying code reviews.
