Fleuret AI, a French startup automating penetration testing with agentic artificial intelligence, has closed a €4 million Pre-Seed round. The funding was led by RAISE Ventures, with participation from Auriga Cyber Ventures, Wind Capital, Better Angle, and a group of cybersecurity business angels. The company will use the capital to expand its team and accelerate the development of its continuous offensive security platform.

From One-Off Audits to Continuous Security

Organizations update their systems every day while security requirements keep rising, particularly under regulations such as NIS2. Despite this, penetration testing still depends largely on one-off audits that capture only a snapshot of the environment at a given moment. A new deployment days later can alter the attack surface and leave recent vulnerabilities unchecked.

How the Platform Works

Fleuret automates the work of penetration testers with two AI agents named Emile and Champollion. They map company environments, explore applications, APIs, and infrastructure, and then attempt to exploit the vulnerabilities they discover. Each finding includes a proof of compromise, and the platform continuously monitors the attack surface to trigger new tests as systems change.

The platform also supports remediation by prioritizing issues according to real-world exploitability, integrating with the tools engineering teams already use, and automatically retesting fixes after changes. It generates reports that verify whether a vulnerability has actually been resolved rather than simply listed. This approach moves security from a periodic audit model toward continuous validation and accountability.

European Expansion and Early Traction

Fleuret currently has around ten employees and lists Brevo, Stoïk, and Yogosha among its customers. The startup aims to make offensive security accessible to every company in Europe, including organizations that cannot afford regular penetration tests. The new funding will support hiring in AI, software engineering, and offensive security while accelerating platform development.

Fleuret operates from Europe on European infrastructure, which helps address growing sovereignty requirements in regulated sectors. The company positions its agents as a way for organizations to meet demanding security expectations without relying on occasional external audits. This European focus is central to its long-term strategy.

Founder and Investor Perspectives

Fleuret AI was founded by Yanis Grigy, CEO, and Augustin Ponsin, CTO, who have known each other since childhood and previously built a company specialized in penetration testing. Yanis Grigy said the company does not want to simply automate penetration testing as it exists today. He explained that the ambition is to build an offensive security layer that keeps companies secure all year round and to design a platform suited to enterprise environments from day one.

Thibaut Schlaeppi, Co-Head at RAISE Ventures, said AI has changed the nature of cyberattacks by putting powerful tools within everyone's reach. He added that organizations must test their security against every attack technique and that Fleuret is built to evolve continuously. Georges Lotigier, General Partner at Auriga Cyber Ventures, said the team combines traditional penetration testing expertise with a sharp understanding of AI-driven disruption.

With fresh capital, an early customer base, and a focus on European infrastructure, Fleuret AI is moving to establish itself as a reference in automated offensive security. The company's model shifts penetration testing from a periodic audit to a continuous process that keeps pace with rapid system changes. Its progress will be closely watched as demand for AI-native security tools grows across Europe.
