Amsterdam-based startup VNYX has successfully secured over €1 million in funding to advance its robotics and AI platform for the fashion resale market. This strategic capital, a blend of investments and government grants, will fuel the company's mission to make secondhand apparel processing more profitable than disposal. VNYX aims to tackle the massive issue of textile waste by providing a scalable and efficient technological solution for the circular economy.

A Mission to Revolutionize Resale

The fashion industry faces a significant challenge with textile waste, as millions of garments are dumped or incinerated annually. VNYX was founded to reverse this trend by addressing the high costs and labor-intensive nature of manual resale processing. The company has set an ambitious goal, its "1-minute promise," to process any fashion item in under sixty seconds, making resale economically superior.

By integrating advanced software, artificial intelligence, and proprietary hardware, VNYX has already achieved remarkable efficiency gains. The platform has successfully reduced the average processing time for a single item from 19 minutes down to just three. This automation makes the entire resale workflow radically faster, cheaper, and more accessible for brands and resellers seeking sustainable solutions.

Strategic Backing and Proven Traction

The recent funding round was supported by a diverse group of backers committed to both technological innovation and environmental impact. Key contributors include DeepTech investors Baltic Business Angels and the Squads Fund, impact-focused organizations like Stichting DOEN, and public innovation funding from the RVO. This coalition provides VNYX with capital, technical guidance, and a strong foundation for sustainable growth.

VNYX has already transitioned into a post-revenue phase, demonstrating the commercial viability of its technology. Its current VNYX10 system is operational, processing 10,000 items annually for partners such as the online platform BOAS and outdoor brand Bever. This early traction provides a strong proof of concept and generates direct commercial income for the rapidly growing company.

Scaling for Global Impact

With the new capital, VNYX is focused on scaling its operations and technology to meet growing demand. The company is preparing to deliver its next-generation VNYX100 system, which boasts a capacity of 100,000 items per year. The ultimate vision is the VNYX1000, a system designed to process over one million items annually for large-scale industrial operations.

Looking ahead, VNYX is preparing for a significant venture capital round to support its international expansion plans. The company is actively shortlisting strategic VCs and fashion brands to help deploy its VNYX1000 technology in global fulfillment centers. This next phase will be critical in establishing VNYX as a global leader in circular fashion automation and logistics.

This latest funding milestone positions VNYX to accelerate its fight against fashion waste through scalable, profitable technology. By proving that resale can be more lucrative than new retail, the company is not just building a business but also paving the way for a truly circular economy. VNYX's progress signals a pivotal shift in how the industry approaches sustainability and asset recovery in the digital age.
