Every WiLL, a Tokyo-based logistics technology startup, has raised US$1 million in Seed funding through a third-party allotment led by ONBOARD, East Ventures, and the Japan Startup Support Association. The company also secured government subsidies and bank loans, bringing the total funding package to 130 million yen. The capital will support the expansion of Toriiku, its network of unmanned parcel pickup points across Japan.

Rethinking Delivery From the Receiving Side

Japan's rapidly growing e-commerce market continues to place greater strain on delivery infrastructure while the country faces a shortage of delivery drivers. The Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism is promoting unattended delivery as a path toward better logistics efficiency. Every WiLL's Toriiku network addresses these pressures by combining shared pickup infrastructure with unattended delivery options.

How Toriiku Works

Toriiku transforms unused spaces of approximately 1.5 tsubo, or about 5 square meters, into parcel pickup points inside shopping centers, train stations, and public buildings. Instead of delivering separately to individual homes, delivery companies can send multiple packages to one location. Customers then collect parcels at their convenience, avoiding long waits and reducing redelivery burdens.

Funding Allocation and Product Development

The new capital will be used to expand Toriiku pickup point installations, develop and scale the Jitaku de Toriiku app, and create logistics data products. Every WiLL also plans to strengthen its team and broaden partnerships with municipalities, retailers, delivery companies, and e-commerce businesses. The company aims to increase the availability of unmanned pickup infrastructure while building services around logistics data and consumer behavior.

Engaging Consumers Through Jitaku de Toriiku

The Jitaku de Toriiku app allows users to upload parcel slips, answer short surveys, and earn points for taking part in logistics improvement. The resulting data helps Every WiLL analyze consumer behavior and identify locations where new Toriiku spots are needed. The company is promoting the app as a way for everyday residents to contribute to lower delivery burdens.

Investor Support

Yuki Takeuchi, Co-Founder of ONBOARD, said the firm will support Every WiLL in making Toriiku a standard part of Japan's delivery infrastructure. He noted that unattended delivery is growing but that concerns around theft and delivery errors remain. The Japan Startup Support Association also praised the model for allowing businesses and residents to tackle redelivery and driver shortages together.

Public Sector Backing and Broader Partnerships

The company has received subsidies and support from the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism, as well as from Tokyo, Saitama, and the Cabinet Office Okinawa General Bureau. Toriiku was developed as a subsidized project to promote diverse receiving methods, while Jitaku de Toriiku is part of a current program supporting consumer participation in logistics efficiency. Every WiLL has also been selected for Tokyo's Tama Innovation Ecosystem Promotion Project to expand Toriiku through commercial facility partnerships.

About Every WiLL

Every WiLL was founded in October 2024 and is led by Representative Director Toshiaki Sudo, an MBA graduate of Waseda University. The Tokyo-based company, headquartered in Shinjuku, focuses on unmanned parcel receipt services and operates the Toriiku brand. It aims to update how parcels are received and build sustainable infrastructure linking logistics, real estate, and regional communities.

Every WiLL is working toward a sustainable logistics infrastructure where consumers, delivery companies, retailers, and local governments share responsibility for last-mile efficiency. By expanding Toriiku and accelerating the social implementation of Jitaku de Toriiku, the startup hopes to create a nationwide receiving environment suited to regional needs. The funding positions the company to move from pilot projects to broader deployment across Japan.
