EUCLYD Raises Over €200 Million Series A

Funding to advance ultra-efficient AI infrastructure for foundation models

EUCLYD, a European semiconductor systems company based in Eindhoven, has closed a Series A financing round of more than €200 million. The round is co-led by Samsung, Somerset Capital Partners, Scaleup Europe Fund managed by EQT, and Innovation Industries, with participation from EIFO, imec.xpand, Brabant Development Agency, and Quadri. Peter Wennink, former President and CEO of ASML, is joining the company as Chairman of the Board.


Strategic financing for AI infrastructure

The new funding will be used to expand the engineering organization and accelerate the company's silicon and systems roadmap. EUCLYD also plans to strengthen ecosystem partnerships and prepare for commercial deployment across enterprise, sovereign, and hyperscale AI markets. The financing round reflects strong investor confidence in the company's mission to reduce cost, energy use, and physical footprint in advanced AI infrastructure.

Tackling the efficiency barrier

As foundation models become more capable, their deployment requires significantly more power, memory bandwidth, and capital while adding infrastructure complexity. EUCLYD is developing a platform that combines crafted compute, innovative memory architecture, and datacenter systems to break this efficiency wall. The company was founded by Bernardo Kastrup and Atul Sinha at High Tech Campus Eindhoven, a hub for semiconductor innovation in Europe.

Technology roadmap and product focus

At the center of EUCLYD's roadmap are craftwerk, the world's first agentic AI silicon, and craftwerk station CWS, described as the world's lowest-power exascale AI factory. The platform integrates programmable ASIC compute, processor-memory co-design, and system-level optimization to overcome memory and efficiency limits. EUCLYD's long-term vision is Abundant Intelligence, where advanced AI is no longer constrained by infrastructure cost, power availability, or geography.

Investor and leadership confidence

Dede Goldschmidt of Samsung said the next phase of AI will be defined by model innovation and by the efficiency and scalability of infrastructure. Ted Persson of EQT emphasized Europe's engineering talent and EUCLYD's mix of European depth and global ambition. Bernardo Kastrup, Founder and CEO, stated that AI's potential will remain constrained unless the infrastructure beneath it fundamentally changes.

Europe's role in global AI infrastructure

Peter Wennink, Chairman of the Board of EUCLYD and former President and CEO of ASML, said Europe possesses world-class capabilities across semiconductors, advanced manufacturing, and systems engineering. He added that EUCLYD can transform those strengths into a globally competitive AI infrastructure platform. EUCLYD is headquartered in Eindhoven and draws on the region's semiconductor ecosystem and engineering heritage.

Commercial deployment and market focus

The financing will support EUCLYD's preparation for commercial deployment across enterprise, sovereign, and hyperscale AI markets. The company aims to serve customers facing rising costs and energy constraints in operating large foundation models. Its platform is designed to deliver lower cost per token while reducing datacenter energy use and physical footprint, which are critical concerns for large-scale AI operators.


With this Series A financing, EUCLYD has secured both the capital and the governance experience needed to pursue a more efficient model for foundation AI deployment. The company's focus on programmable ASIC compute, memory co-design, and system-level integration positions it to address some of the most pressing constraints in AI datacenters. As it moves toward commercial deployment, EUCLYD aims to make advanced intelligence more abundant through lower cost per token and broader access to AI infrastructure.
