Bulgarian startup Estel Technologies has successfully closed a €270,000 pre-seed funding round led by Vitosha Ventures. The company is developing an AI-native platform designed to streamline sales processes for the tech staffing industry. This new capital will fuel the platform's technological advancement and accelerate its expansion across key European markets, addressing long-standing inefficiencies in talent acquisition.

Addressing Industry Inefficiencies

The global tech staffing market is often hampered by fragmented workflows and outdated information, forcing recruiters to spend valuable time on non-viable leads. Sales teams frequently contend with duplicate job listings and must manually verify hiring demand. This environment creates significant operational drag, reducing productivity and limiting revenue potential for staffing agencies.

Estel was founded by Bogdan Stavrev, Ivo Michorov, and Yusuf Berki to tackle these challenges directly. Their platform aims to eliminate the guesswork involved in identifying genuine sales opportunities. By automating lead qualification, the company allows recruiters to focus their efforts on high-conversion prospects instead of manual research.

An AI-Powered Solution

At the heart of Estel's platform is its proprietary Demand Confidence Score, an algorithm that analyzes market signals to verify active hiring needs. This technology systematically ranks opportunities for users and automatically matches them with prospective buyers. The system is engineered to ensure sales teams engage only with qualified, high-potential leads.

Co-founder Bogdan Stavrev stated, "Tech staffing hasn't had its Salesforce moment yet, everyone's still stitching together tools and guessing which leads are real and worth their time." He explained that Estel was built so that sales teams can dedicate their time to selling. The platform's goal is to transform a research-heavy process into a streamlined sales function.

Strategic Investment and Market Validation

The investment round was led by Vitosha Ventures and included participation from Austrian angel investor Kerem Basak of FB Consulting. This financial backing signals strong confidence in Estel's innovative approach to solving a persistent industry problem. The funds are designated for enhancing the platform's core algorithms and driving customer growth.

Providing a powerful endorsement, Kerem Basak noted that he was a user of the platform before becoming an investor. "As someone who's spent a decade in tech talent, I don't say that lightly—most tools in this space overpromise," Basak said. He confirmed that the tool fundamentally changed how his team operates, offering strong market validation.

Future Growth and Expansion Plans

With the new funding, Estel will strengthen its demand verification, scoring, and matching technologies to further refine its product. The company is also focused on accelerating customer acquisition across its current markets, which include the UK, DACH region, Poland, and Bulgaria. This strategy is designed to build a strong foundation for future growth.

The startup is already serving three enterprise customers and has generated €24,000 in annual recurring revenue. This early traction positions Estel for its next phase of development, which includes preparing for a seed funding round. The company has also outlined a long-term vision that includes expansion into the United States market by 2027.

This pre-seed funding marks a significant milestone for Estel Technologies, enabling it to enhance its AI-driven platform and expand its market footprint. By providing a data-backed solution to identify genuine hiring demand, the company is well-positioned to bring much-needed efficiency to the tech staffing industry. The investment validates its mission to empower sales teams and redefine workflows in a competitive global market.
