Australian payment assurance company Eftsure has launched its platform in Singapore, extending its verification network into one of Asia-Pacific’s largest financial and commercial centers. The expansion is designed to help companies verify payment information, manage supplier data, and reduce the risk of funds being transferred to fraudulent or incorrect accounts. It also marks another step in Eftsure’s broader international growth strategy following its expansion beyond Australia and New Zealand.

Expanding Payment Verification in Asia

Singapore serves as a regional headquarters and payment hub for many multinational businesses managing suppliers across several Asian markets. Eftsure said its local launch will allow finance teams to apply consistent verification controls when processing payments involving Singapore-based vendors and beneficiaries. Organizations already using the company’s services internationally can now extend the same payment assurance processes across more of their Asia-Pacific operations.

Addressing Increasing Fraud Risks

The launch comes as businesses face growing exposure to business email compromise, executive impersonation, invoice manipulation, and fraudulent changes to supplier banking details. Eftsure argues that artificial intelligence has lowered the cost of producing convincing fraudulent messages, documents, and payment instructions while making manual verification more difficult. Singapore Police Force data cited by the company showed that reported losses from business email compromise reached S$35.3 million in 2025.

Moving Beyond Manual Controls

Traditional safeguards frequently depend on employees calling suppliers, checking emails, or manually comparing banking information before approving a transaction. According to Eftsure, these controls are becoming less reliable as fraudsters use increasingly sophisticated impersonation methods and target fragmented financial systems. The company’s platform instead embeds verification into payment workflows, enabling organizations to validate critical information before funds are transferred.

Continuous Supplier Verification

Eftsure provides finance teams with access to continuously verified payment data rather than relying exclusively on checks completed when a supplier is first onboarded. Its platform combines business identity verification, anomaly detection, ongoing monitoring, and reviews conducted by specialist analysts to identify suspicious or unexpected changes. These capabilities can support supplier payments, payroll, insurance claims, and other workflows involving high-value disbursements.

Broader Operational Benefits

Although fraud prevention is a central part of the platform, Eftsure said payment verification can also help organizations identify errors, duplicate transactions, and inaccurate beneficiary information. Checking the intended recipient, payment amount, and timing before each transaction can reduce losses caused by administrative mistakes as well as deliberate criminal activity. The company positions this combination of security and operational oversight as a measurable financial control for corporate finance teams.

Building an International Network

Eftsure was launched in Australia in 2014 and subsequently established operations across Australia, New Zealand, and the United States. In 2025, the company combined with France-based payment verification provider Sis ID, extending its reach across Europe and international supplier networks. Eftsure now supports more than 4,000 organizations and says its systems safeguard hundreds of billions of dollars in business-to-business payments annually.

Supporting Multinational Finance Teams

The Singapore operation is intended to help companies replace fragmented verification processes with controls that can be consistently applied across different countries and supplier bases. Eftsure Senior Vice President and General Manager Andy Thiss said the launch gives finance teams in the market access to the company’s wider global payment verification network. Chief Executive Officer Jon Soldan added that continuous monitoring can help businesses reduce payment risk while strengthening governance, auditing, and financial oversight.

Eftsure’s entry into Singapore broadens its presence in Asia-Pacific while responding to rising concerns about payment fraud, artificial intelligence-enabled impersonation, and cross-border transaction risks. By introducing continuous supplier and payment verification, the company aims to provide finance departments with greater confidence in the information supporting each transfer. The launch also strengthens Eftsure’s effort to build an international payment assurance network serving organizations with increasingly complex global operations.
