Aerospace and defense innovator Amca has secured $300 million in a Series B funding round, propelling its valuation past the $1 billion mark merely eighteen months after its founding. The investment was led by Caffeinated Capital with major participation from Lightspeed Venture Partners, signaling strong confidence in the company's mission. Amca is focused on building a new, agile American industrial base to meet the nation's critical manufacturing needs in an era of increasing global instability.


Confronting an Aging Industrial Base

The announcement comes at a critical time, as the United States' legacy industrial base faces mounting pressure from geopolitical tensions and inherent structural weaknesses. This decades-old supply chain is increasingly characterized by declining capacity, extended lead times, and an aging workforce, creating significant bottlenecks. These challenges hinder the country's ability to rapidly engineer, qualify, and manufacture the essential components needed to sustain its most critical defense and aviation systems.

A Modernized Manufacturing Blueprint

To address these systemic vulnerabilities, Amca has pioneered an integrated platform that combines engineering, qualification testing, technical data development, and certified manufacturing into a single, cohesive workflow. The company employs a dual strategy of building entirely new factories from the ground up while also acquiring and reconfiguring longstanding certified manufacturers. This approach allows Amca to rapidly recapitalize a domestic supply chain that has become uncompetitive and capacity-constrained, injecting new life and technology into vital infrastructure.

Rapid Expansion and Operational Scale

Over the past year, Amca has demonstrated remarkable growth, scaling its operations to include six critical component factories across California, Iowa, and New York. This network, which includes the recently acquired power electronics supplier BC Systems, provides over 123,000 square feet of qualified production capacity. The facilities are equipped to manufacture a wide range of components, spanning hydraulics, avionics, and power electronics for platforms like the F-16, F/A-18, and M1 Abrams.

Technology as a Force Multiplier

Central to Amca's strategy is its proprietary RAPID platform, a vertically integrated, AI-powered system that revolutionizes product development. RAPID streamlines the entire process from design engineering and prototyping to testing and manufacturing support, significantly accelerating production timelines. The company reports that this innovative platform reduces the time required to move production-grade hardware from development into deployment by over 67% compared to industry-standard lead times.

Strategic Investment for Future Growth

The new $300 million in capital will be strategically deployed to further accelerate Amca's growth and impact on the industrial base. Key plans include expanding the use of the RAPID platform across its entire manufacturing network, creating and acquiring additional factories nationwide, and speeding up the delivery of components most essential to national readiness. The company already supplies major aerospace and defense customers, including Boeing, Lockheed Martin, Northrop Grumman, and Airbus, underscoring its established market presence.
