Pune-based AI startup CurvetAI has raised ₹6 crore in a Pre-Seed funding round led by Merak Ventures, with participation from angel investors. The company operates an AI workspace that brings multiple artificial intelligence models onto a single platform for text, image, audio, and video work. The fresh capital will be used to expand engineering and technology infrastructure and develop agent-based capabilities that can handle more complex workflows.

Funding Details and Capital Allocation

The Pre-Seed round was led by Merak Ventures, and a group of angel investors also participated. CurvetAI will direct the new funding toward strengthening its technology infrastructure, expanding its team, and advancing agent-based capabilities. These upgrades are expected to help the platform manage increasingly complex workflows on behalf of users, teams, and educational institutions.

A Unified Workspace for Fragmented AI

CurvetAI was founded in December 2025 by Vivek Dubey and Utkarsh Gupta to reduce the gap between intent and execution in a multi-model AI environment. The platform enables users to work with text, image, audio, and video models, compare outputs, and combine different capabilities within the same workflow. The founders believe that as specialized models grow, making AI genuinely useful will depend on choosing the right intelligence as much as on having access to it.

Traction and Market Presence

CurvetAI currently serves more than 100,000 monthly users globally, with India and the United States as its largest markets. The startup has also started generating revenue and serves individuals, teams, and educational institutions. It initially began as a platform for discovering AI tools and prompts before shifting toward a workspace model after founders saw that users still had to leave the platform to use the tools they discovered.

Founder Background and Partnerships

Dubey, who serves as Co-founder and Chief Executive Officer, studied design at the Symbiosis Institute of Design in Pune and previously worked at Infosys, Microsoft, and Google. Gupta, Co-founder and Chief Technology Officer, previously worked at Samsung and leads the company's engineering and technical infrastructure. CurvetAI works with AI model developers and has collaborations with GnaniAI, Rumik AI, and Alibaba.

Leadership Perspective

Dubey said, "AI has become incredibly capable, but increasingly fragmented." He explained that users are still expected to understand which model is best for a particular task and then figure out how to make different tools work together without unnecessary friction. "We believe that complexity should sit with the platform," he said.

Investor Perspective

Sheetal Bahl, Founding Partner at Merak Ventures, said, "The best technology companies often emerge when a market becomes more complex than its users should have to understand, and Curvet saw that inflection early." Bahl added that as AI models proliferate, intelligence alone stops being the bottleneck. The founders' ability to translate that insight into a product already used at scale gave the firm conviction.

CurvetAI's Pre-Seed round arrives at a time when enterprises and individual users are navigating an increasingly crowded landscape of specialized AI models. The startup's ability to attract a six-figure monthly user base and early revenue signals strong demand for a unified workspace and orchestration layer. As the company uses the new funding to deepen its agent-based capabilities, it is positioning itself to capture a growing share of the multi-model AI productivity market.
