Credfix, an AI-first debt resolution platform, has raised ₹161 million in Seed funding led by Tanglin Venture Partners with participation from Stargazer. The round follows an earlier ₹45 million investment from K2 Capital, Invstt Trust, and angel investors. The company plans to use the fresh capital to accelerate product development, strengthen AI capabilities, and expand borrower support across India.
Funding Purpose and Platform Capabilities
The new capital will support Credfix in building more advanced AI tools and broadening its nationwide borrower support ecosystem. Founded in 2025 by Ranjan Agarwal, Neeraj Kulkarni, and Ayush Kedia, the company helps borrowers understand their debt, evaluate repayment options, and manage interactions with lenders. Its services include debt assessment, loan resolution, loan consolidation, and AI-powered legal assistance.
AI-Driven Solutions and User Reach
Credfix has developed three core AI-driven products: Risi, an AI financial assistant; Neytra, an AI call shield; and an AI legal assistant. Risi helps borrowers understand debt and explore resolution options, while Neytra assists with recovery-related calls. The legal assistant explains notices, prepares draft responses for review, and identifies possible next steps.
The platform currently serves more than 200,000 borrowers, representing over ₹40 billion in aggregate outstanding debt. Around 40% of its users come from Tier 2 and Tier 3 cities, reflecting broad demand beyond metro areas. Credfix aims to support borrowers across the full debt resolution lifecycle, from early signs of financial distress to structured resolution and financial rehabilitation.
Market Context
Technology adoption in India's debt resolution and collections segment is accelerating on both borrower and lender sides. FREED raised ₹600 million in February 2026, while Credgenics has raised US$50 million for collections, litigation management, and online dispute resolution. CredResolve also secured a Pre-Series A round in April 2026 to expand its operations, multilingual AI, and voice capabilities.
Leadership Commentary
Ranjan Agarwal, Co-founder, said financial distress is often accompanied by confusion, anxiety, and a lack of trustworthy guidance. He stated that Credfix uses artificial intelligence to simplify complex financial experiences and give borrowers clarity, confidence, and actionable solutions. He added that the investment marks an important milestone in scaling the company's technology for millions of borrowers.
Shashank Sabesan, Principal at Tanglin Venture Partners, said India has built strong credit distribution infrastructure but few solutions for borrowers struggling with repayment. He described the gap as a large, unaddressed problem that is growing as millions of young borrowers enter the system. He added that supported borrowers are more likely to repay, creating lasting value across the credit ecosystem.
Credfix's latest funding signals growing investor interest in borrower-facing financial recovery tools rather than lender-only collections software. The company's early traction across more than 200,000 borrowers and ₹40 billion in outstanding debt highlights meaningful demand for accessible debt resolution. As it strengthens its AI stack and support network, Credfix is positioning itself to reduce the stress and complexity of loan repayment for a broad user base.
