Conduit Health, a digital health company simplifying access to medical supplies, has secured $17 million in a Series A funding round. Led by Drive Capital, this investment brings the company's total funding to $22 million. The new capital will fuel the expansion of its AI-driven platform designed to streamline durable medical equipment (DME) procurement for Medicare and Medicaid patients.

Addressing a Systemic Challenge

Millions of Americans face significant hurdles when trying to access insurance-covered home medical supplies, a problem particularly acute for those on Medicare and Medicaid. The existing process is often a labyrinth of shifting payer rules, documentation requirements, and prior authorizations. This administrative complexity frequently leads to frustrating delays, denials, and unnecessary out-of-pocket expenses for essential equipment.

An Integrated AI-Powered Solution

Conduit Health tackles this issue with a vertically-integrated model that consolidates the entire process onto a single platform. The company manages clinical evaluation, insurance authorization, and supply fulfillment, eliminating the administrative handoffs that typically slow down care. This streamlined approach transforms a weeks-long ordeal into a more efficient and predictable experience for patients.

Central to this model is CareOS, a proprietary AI engine trained on data from over 50,000 patient cases. The platform interprets complex insurance rules in real time, predicts the likelihood of claim approvals, and automates workflows across different payers. This technology allows Conduit to navigate insurance bottlenecks effectively, reducing denial risks and standardizing the process at scale.

Rapid Growth and Strategic Expansion

Since its public launch just 16 months ago, Conduit Health has demonstrated impressive market traction and rapid growth. The company has already delivered supplies to over 50,000 patients while significantly expanding its product catalog and payer network. This network now includes over 100 health plans, covering nearly 90 million individuals across the country.

The fresh infusion of $17 million will be instrumental in scaling the company’s operations and further developing its technology. Co-founder and CEO Natan Wise stated that the goal is to unify clinical and administrative work to build a care model that truly serves patients. He emphasized that the current system is unacceptable for vulnerable community members needing to stay healthy at home.

Investor Confidence and Future Vision

The funding round reflects strong investor confidence in Conduit's mission and its execution. Molly Bonakdarpour, General Partner at lead investor Drive Capital, praised the company for solving an acute pain point with a solution that feels like "magic" for the consumer. She noted that the company's rapid growth is a testament to its success in engaging hard-to-reach patients.

Looking ahead, Conduit Health aims to apply its foundational technology beyond durable medical equipment. Co-founder Rocky Seftel explained that the platform was designed to expand into a broader range of insurance-covered services. The company's long-term vision includes facilitating access to benefits like medically-tailored meals and transportation to appointments.

This successful Series A funding round marks a significant milestone for Conduit Health, empowering it to accelerate its mission. By combining its intelligent operating system with a patient-centric approach, the company is well-positioned to transform the DME landscape. Ultimately, this will improve access to essential healthcare benefits for millions of Americans who depend on them.
