braendz, a Singapore-based artificial intelligence trademark intelligence platform, has completed its pre-seed funding round led by MNA Ventures. The company announced the closing on September 23, 2026, from its headquarters at the Royal Group Building in Singapore. The capital will support engineering development and product readiness as braendz prepares to launch its first commercial solution at the end of 2026, although financial terms were not disclosed.

Addressing Trademark Complexity

Trademark registers hold the information businesses need to evaluate a brand, but that information is fragmented across jurisdictions, classifications, languages, and search systems. Existing tools are largely designed for legal specialists rather than the founders, marketing teams, and brand owners who make naming decisions. braendz was created to turn that fragmented trademark data into practical, accessible, and more structured decisions.

The Strategic Weight of Brand Decisions

Choosing a brand name is a strategic decision that can determine whether a company can establish, protect, and grow its identity. Organizations need to understand the trademark landscape before investing in branding, marketing, product development, or international expansion. Currently, this process requires navigating multiple sources and interpreting complex similarity, classification, existing rights, and potential conflicts without specialist knowledge.

How the Platform Works

braendz brings trademark information from multiple jurisdictions into a structured research environment that is built for business users. The platform analyzes the results, identifies the marks and rights that matter, and guides users toward the issues that need closer attention. Rather than simply returning search results, braendz helps users understand what they are seeing, why it matters, and what should be considered before moving forward with a brand.

Founder's Perspective

Oliver Poek, founder of braendz, has led enterprise-scale technology projects for some of the world's largest organizations, an experience that shaped his belief that artificial intelligence could improve trademark research. He said most people making a naming decision have never read a trademark register and should not have to. The platform is designed to walk someone through that decision without requiring them to become an expert first.

A Shared Record for Professionals

braendz does not replace trademark attorneys or provide legal opinions. Instead, it gives businesses and professionals one shared record, allowing a company to explore the trademark landscape before a professional reviews the same information with the same history behind it. None of the early work is lost, and the mark remains the persistent reference point from first idea through registration, monitoring, and expansion.

Commercial Rollout and Market Plans

The first commercial release is planned for North America and Central Europe, with further geographic expansion expected as the platform develops. braendz was incorporated in Singapore in January 2026 and has now completed its pre-seed funding round led by MNA Ventures. The investment will support the engineering build required to bring the platform to market by the end of 2026 and serve its first users.

braendz addresses a persistent gap between the availability of trademark data and the ability of non-specialists to act on it confidently. By making trademark intelligence more accessible, the company aims to reduce the cost and risk associated with brand decisions for founders and growing companies. With its pre-seed round complete, braendz is positioned to deliver its first commercial release and support trademarks throughout their lifecycle.
