Bird&Be, a fertility and wellness brand specializing in supplements and at-home diagnostic tests, has raised $13 million in new funding. The round was led by BDC Thrive and BFG Partners, with participation from BAM Ventures, Founder Collective, Rejuvenation Ventures, and HSR Ventures. The capital will accelerate research, product development, retail expansion, and access to evidence-based reproductive health support.
Addressing Critical Gaps in Fertility Care
Infertility affects one in six people, and up to half of cases involve male factors. Yet fewer than 1,400 fertility specialists practice nationwide, and nearly half of U.S. counties lack an OB-GYN. Bird&Be aims to close this gap with science-backed products designed for women and men at every stage of the fertility journey.
Raising Standards in Prenatal Nutrition
A recent Consumer Reports investigation found that 15 of 17 prenatal vitamins tested contained more or less of key nutrients than their labels claimed. Bird&Be's Prenatal was among the formulas that met all of its label claims in the evaluation. The company's supplements are third-party tested and formulated with input from OB-GYNs, reproductive endocrinologists, and naturopathic fertility specialists.
Expanding Access to At-Home Diagnostics
Bird&Be sets itself apart as the only brand that offers at-home diagnostic tests alongside its full supplement line. Its Sperm Test Kits and Ovarian Reserve Screening Tests are available for less than $100, making early insight more accessible. These tools allow couples to take proactive steps in understanding their reproductive health and improving their chances of healthy outcomes.
Retail Growth and Clinical Reach
In its first three years, Bird&Be grew into an eight-figure brand with nearly 100 percent year-over-year growth and 75 percent of revenue from subscriptions. The clinician-referral channel expanded 200 percent year over year, with more than 10 percent of customers now arriving through healthcare provider recommendations. After launching in 300 Ulta Beauty stores in September 2025, the brand expanded to nearly 1,000 locations by spring 2026 and recently partnered with Mandell's Clinical Pharmacy to reach patients in all 50 states.
Leadership Perspective
Samantha Diamond, Bird&Be Co-Founder and CEO, said the company was created after she and Co-Founder Breanna Hughes struggled to find support while navigating PMOS and pregnancy loss. She noted that every product is intended to help customers feel educated and in control. Diamond added that the new funding will make trusted products more accessible when and where people need care most.
Investor Confidence in Preventative Care
Mona Minhas, Managing Partner at BDC Thrive Venture Fund, described Bird&Be as a category-defining company at the intersection of women's health, consumer health, and preventative care. She said the investment reflects the significant unmet need in a large and underserved market. Elizabeth Earle, Vice President at BFG, added that Bird&Be pairs fertility science with a product experience people stick with, which is a rare combination.
Strategic Priorities and Outlook
The new capital will fuel research and clinical studies, product development, continued retail expansion, and the growth of Bird&Be's clinical distribution channel. The company plans to deepen its position as a trusted source for fertility and wellness support. Its recent partnership with Mandell's Clinical Pharmacy already extends its reach directly to patients navigating fertility treatment nationwide.
With 1 in 6 people affected by infertility and many communities lacking access to reproductive specialists, Bird&Be's expansion addresses a pressing gap in care. The $13 million round provides resources to strengthen product transparency, diagnostic access, and retail availability across the United States. By combining clinically informed supplements with accessible testing and education, the company is positioned to shape the future of consumer fertility health.
