Global entertainment technology company BIGC announced on October 7 that it secured a bridge investment from Daesung Private Equity and Now IB Capital on September 18, 2026. The bridge round follows the company's Series A funding and is intended to accelerate BIGC's growth across the global entertainment technology market. The investors recognized the company's differentiated technology capabilities and rapid expansion, although financial terms of the investment were not disclosed.

Integrated Platform and Market Position

BIGC operates its namesake All-in-One Digital Venue platform, which unifies the complete online business lifecycle for world tours by K-pop and K-culture artists. Before this approach, artists typically had to contract with six or more separate platforms to manage ticketing, real-time live streaming, merchandise commerce, fan marketing, and fan data analytics. BIGC has consolidated this fragmented structure into a single, one-stop solution that improves operational efficiency for artists and fans.

User Growth and Engagement

The company currently reports 3.9 million registered users across 232 countries and territories, with international users representing 74% of total membership. BIGC has demonstrated strong global fandom lock-in, with an 81% repurchase rate among users who have made at least one purchase. Membership has increased by an average of more than 700% annually over the past three years, highlighting the platform's international appeal.

Revenue Growth and Business Structure

Revenue has more than doubled year over year for three consecutive years, and last year BIGC generated KRW 11.2 billion in revenue, representing a 158% increase from the previous year. Average revenue per project has grown significantly, moving from several million won during the company's early stages to tens or hundreds of millions of won per project. Integrated world-tour contracts now account for 75% of total revenue, establishing a stable B2B revenue structure.

Technology and Innovation

BIGC's growth is supported by differentiated research and development capabilities, including ultra-low-latency real-time communication technology that reduces live streaming delays to approximately 0.5 seconds. During voting for a major awards ceremony, the platform handled 3 million users per second and 45 million users over a three-week period. AI-based predictive traffic control technology reduced server costs by 90%, demonstrating capabilities comparable to leading global startups.

Industry Recognition and Validation

BIGC has received TI2, the highest rating in the Technology Credit Bureau technology evaluation for corporate investment. The company has also won four global awards, including the Gold Stevie Award and the Good Design Award. These achievements reinforce the technical and business potential that investors identified in the bridge round.

Entertainment OS and Strategic Assets

The company is advancing toward an Entertainment OS powered by global fandom data, having acquired the fandom community blip, K-pop Radar with 1.3 billion fandom data points, and the intellectual property of the music program THE SHOW. BIGC also secured an exclusive Korean distribution agreement with Universal Music Korea, extending its reach beyond K-pop to global pop intellectual property. These assets support digital transformation and AI transformation across the broader entertainment industry.

Executive Perspective

Chief Executive Officer Mihee Kim said, "We plan to invest the proceeds from this funding in advancing our global fandom data and AI technologies and in building an Entertainment OS that connects key services including world tours, ticketing, live streaming, and commerce." She added that the company will expand to global artists and intellectual properties based on technologies and data validated through K-pop. The ultimate goal is to create a new AI transformation model for the entertainment industry.

The bridge investment positions BIGC to strengthen its integrated platform and accelerate development of its Entertainment OS. By combining ticketing, streaming, commerce, and fandom data, the company is building a scalable model that extends beyond K-pop to global artists and media intellectual properties. Its recent growth, technology recognition, and strategic acquisitions signal continued momentum in the evolving entertainment technology market.
