Bengaluru-based baby and kids-care commerce startup Peeko has raised Rs 67.4 crore in a Series A funding round led by Chiratae Ventures, with participation from existing investor Stellaris Venture Partners and several angel investors. The financing follows the company's $3.2 million seed round led by Stellaris Venture Partners in 2025 and will support expansion, technology development, and hiring. Peeko plans to deepen its presence in Bengaluru before entering additional cities as it scales its specialized quick commerce model for parents.

Building a Specialized Babycare Platform

Founded in 2025 by IIT alumni Chetan Sharma, Abhijit Gairola, and Vivek Khetan, Peeko operates a vertical quick commerce platform focused on baby and kids-care products. Its catalog spans apparel and accessories, toys and learning products, baby gear, diapers, food, and other consumables, with deliveries generally completed within 60 minutes. The platform also offers try-and-buy and instant return options, seeking to address concerns around fit, quality, and product selection that can make parents hesitant to purchase baby products entirely online.

Rapid Growth in Bengaluru

Peeko said its assortment has expanded from around 6,000 stock-keeping units at launch to approximately 27,000 to 30,000 products, while its average order value is around Rs 1,000. The company currently operates three dark stores in Bengaluru and covers roughly 55% of the city with its 60-minute delivery service, with plans to increase its network to six locations by the end of 2026. More than 100,000 parents have shopped through the platform since its launch, and Peeko claims its business has nearly doubled every quarter over the past six months.

Expanding Technology and Operations

The startup intends to use part of the Series A proceeds to build technology that supports a broader "parenting partner" proposition alongside its existing commerce business. Peeko is positioning itself as more than a rapid delivery service by combining specialized product selection with tools and services intended to support parents across a wider range of purchasing needs. Additional hiring and investment in operational infrastructure are expected to support the company's Bengaluru expansion before it enters two more cities next year.

Growing Competition in Vertical Commerce

Chiratae Ventures said India's baby and children's commerce market remains a significant opportunity for platforms capable of providing a more specialized experience for modern parents. Anoop N Menon, Partner and Consumer-Tech Lead at Chiratae Ventures, highlighted Peeko's combination of deep product curation, sub-60-minute delivery, and try-and-buy capabilities as factors addressing an underserved segment of the market. The broader category is also becoming more competitive, with rival platform Qzi recently raising $6.2 million in a Series A round led by RTP Global after previously securing $3.3 million in seed funding.

Peeko's Rs 67.4 crore Series A gives the startup additional resources to expand its store network, strengthen its technology platform, and pursue geographic growth beyond Bengaluru. Its strategy combines quick commerce infrastructure with an assortment and shopping experience tailored specifically to parents, including features designed to recreate aspects of physical retail. As investor interest in vertical quick commerce grows, Peeko's ability to maintain customer adoption while expanding into new cities will be central to its next phase of development.
