Ayble Health, an AI-enabled virtual multidisciplinary gastrointestinal clinic, has closed a $16 million oversubscribed Series A funding round. The financing was led by Neon and drew participation from Unum Ventures, Upfront Ventures, M13, Cleveland Clinic Ventures, DigiTx, Accomplice and individual strategic investors. The new capital brings the company's total funding to more than $27 million and will support expansion into autoimmune care.

Digestive Disease Burden and Care Gaps

Digestive conditions affect more than 70 million Americans and generate approximately $136 billion in annual healthcare spending. Nearly 70 percent of U.S. counties lack a practicing gastroenterologist, leaving many patients without timely access to specialty care. Recent research also found that inflammatory bowel disease is associated with 24 distinct autoimmune comorbidities, underscoring the need for coordinated treatment.

Precision Care and Autoimmune Expansion

Ayble plans to use the new capital to deepen its proprietary artificial intelligence and clinician precision care model and improve personalization across patient engagement, enrollment, and care delivery. The company intends to extend its multidisciplinary approach beyond gastroenterology into adjacent complex therapeutic areas, beginning with autoimmune conditions. This move addresses the clinical overlap between digestive and autoimmune diseases rather than treating them in isolation.

Commercial Scale and Enterprise Adoption

Ayble has scaled rapidly and is now in network with most commercial health plans, covering more than 80 million Americans through payer, employer, and health system partnerships. The company was recently nominated for the 2026 Galien Prize, a prominent honor in biomedical innovation. Its expansion is supported by these enterprise relationships and by demand from national health plans, jumbo employers, and major benefit platforms.

Clinical Evidence and Multidisciplinary Care

Ayble combines GI-trained providers, dietitians, behavioral health specialists, clinical pharmacists, health coaches, and care coordinators with proprietary technology. The company has published more than 16 peer-reviewed clinical studies across major GI populations, and the Peterson Health Technology Institute recognized its clinical team as the broadest in the GI category. Ayble reports an average 47 percent improvement in GI symptoms within four weeks, sustained for at least a year.

Leadership Perspectives

Founder and CEO Sam Jactel, an inflammatory bowel disease patient, said he built Ayble after experiencing diagnostic delays and care gaps. He noted that many patients also manage autoimmune conditions and often lack coordinated care. Kimmy Scotti, Founding and Managing Partner at Neon, said Ayble spent years building clinical evidence before scaling, which builds trust with health systems, payers, and patients.

Reducing Cost and System Strain

Digestive conditions are the leading cause of treat-and-release emergency room visits, and patients often wait an average of 40 days for an in-person specialty appointment. For employers and payers, GI conditions consistently rank as a top-five driver of medical claims and are among the fastest-growing cost centers in commercially insured populations. Ayble reports that its care model delivers a minimum 3 to 1 return on investment by reducing high-cost utilization.

With this Series A round, Ayble Health is positioned to extend its evidence-based model to more patients managing chronic digestive and autoimmune diseases. The company's rapid commercial growth, clinical validation, and planned expansion address a significant gap in specialty care access. As digestive and autoimmune costs continue to rise, Ayble aims to deliver coordinated, personalized care that improves outcomes for patients and enterprise partners alike.
