Bengaluru-based medical technology firm Ayati Devices has secured INR 15 Crore in a Pre-Series A funding round. Led by Inflexor Ventures, this marks the company's first institutional capital infusion. The funding will fuel Ayati's mission to commercialize its advanced diagnostic solutions for diabetic foot complications.

Addressing a Critical Healthcare Gap

Diabetes represents a major global health challenge, with over 90 million individuals affected in India alone. A severe consequence is diabetic foot complications, leading to thousands of preventable lower-limb amputations annually. Ayati Devices aims to address this by enabling early and accurate diagnosis before irreversible damage occurs.

A Suite of Innovative Diagnostic Tools

The company has developed a portfolio of clinically accurate and portable diagnostic technologies for primary care settings. Its products, including Vibrasense for neuropathy screening and Vasosense for vascular disease detection, provide rapid results. These tools make advanced diagnostics accessible beyond specialized hospitals, facilitating proactive patient care.

A key innovation is Angiocam, which offers real-time tissue perfusion imaging in a portable format. The company also provides the PODIA Trolley, a screening station available via a pay-per-test model. This approach removes the barrier of high upfront capital investment for clinics and hospitals.

Strategic Allocation of New Capital

The newly acquired funds are earmarked for several strategic growth initiatives. A primary focus will be the commercialization of the Angiocam device and the expansion of go-to-market operations. The capital will also strengthen manufacturing capabilities and enhance the company's supply chain for scalability.

Furthermore, Ayati Devices will deepen its investment in research and development, particularly in AI-enabled diagnostics. The funding will support efforts to secure additional regulatory approvals and expand its intellectual property portfolio. This strategy is designed to solidify the company's competitive advantage in the med-tech landscape.

Global Expansion and Market Penetration

Ayati Devices has already established an international presence, with over 10,000 devices deployed across more than 30 countries. The company holds key regulatory clearances, including from the U.S. FDA and a CE Mark for Europe. This existing footprint provides a strong foundation for its next phase of global expansion.

Looking ahead, the company plans to deepen its market penetration in Europe, the US, the Middle East, and Southeast Asia. It will leverage its growing international distributor network to reach more healthcare providers. The addressable market is substantial, estimated at USD 15 billion globally.

Investor Confidence and Future Outlook

Nishant Kathpal, Founder and CEO of Ayati Devices, stated the investment is a crucial milestone in making advanced diagnostics more accessible. He emphasized the company's focus on preventing complications before they become irreversible. This vision is central to Ayati's mission to transform diabetic foot care globally.

Pratip Mazumdar, Partner at Inflexor Ventures, expressed confidence in Ayati's platform approach within the medical devices sector. He highlighted the founder's technical conviction and the product's foundation in genuine clinical insight. The investment reflects a belief in Ayati's potential to set a new global standard of care.

This Pre-Series A funding round marks a pivotal moment for Ayati Devices, enabling its transition to accelerated commercial growth. With a portfolio of regulatory-ready products, the company is well-positioned to make a significant impact. Ultimately, Ayati aims to shift the paradigm of diabetic care from reactive treatment to proactive prevention worldwide.
