ATIS, a North American provider of elevator and escalator inspections, consulting, and managed services, has acquired AuditMate, a leading elevator asset management technology platform. The acquisition was announced by Thompson Street Capital Partners, the St. Louis-based private equity firm that owns ATIS. The move is intended to combine AuditMate's software capabilities with ATIS's field expertise to give property owners and managers clearer insight into elevator performance.

Building a Technology-Enabled Platform

The transaction positions ATIS as a technology-enabled leader in elevator asset management across North America. By pairing AuditMate's platform with a network of more than 250 expert consultants and inspectors in all major North American markets, the combined company expects to modernize how building owners manage elevator maintenance. The acquisition reflects ATIS's long-term strategy to expand across elevator managed services, consulting, and inspection while leading digital transformation in the sector.

Tackling Limited Visibility in Maintenance

Property owners and managers have historically lacked reliable visibility into how elevator service providers are performing, which can expose them to compliance and safety risks. The combined platform is designed to capture, connect, and analyze elevator data in a single environment, giving clients greater control over their portfolios. This shift is intended to move elevator management from a reactive model to one based on continuous insight and accountability.

Executive Perspectives on the Deal

Tom St. Geme, Managing Director at Thompson Street Capital Partners, described the acquisition as an important step in creating a leading technology platform across elevator services. Jim Fox, CEO of ATIS, said the combined company is building a smarter, more transparent operating model that improves performance and enhances public safety. Ash Wilson, founder and chief executive of AuditMate, added that joining ATIS will accelerate its mission to improve accountability and safety at scale.

How the Combined Solution Works

ATIS plans to integrate AuditMate's platform across its managed services offering to create a unified operating system for clients. The solution provides continuous maintenance visibility, portfolio-wide analytics, and actionable intelligence supported by one of North America's largest teams of elevator consultants and inspectors. The integration is expected to generate better data capture and stronger field execution under a single service model.

Expected Benefits for Building Owners

Clients can anticipate improved elevator uptime, stronger compliance, reduced risk, and lower operating costs through the combined offering. The platform is designed to deliver real time transparency into maintenance activity while connecting property teams with expert advisory support from a nationwide field organization. The result is a more complete view of performance that supports faster and more informed decision making across building portfolios.

A Broader Push for Digital Transformation

The acquisition underscores a wider effort to bring digital tools into building operations that have remained largely manual and fragmented. Andrea Arceneaux, chief technology officer at AuditMate, noted that better visibility gives owners and property managers the confidence to act on portfolio information. Financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

The acquisition signals continued investment in digital transformation within elevator and escalator management. By linking AuditMate's technology with ATIS's established market presence and field expertise, the companies aim to deliver greater transparency, operational efficiency, and safety. The combined organization is positioned to support building owners with a more unified and data-driven approach to elevator portfolio management.
