Singapore-based AI startup Video Rebirth has successfully closed an $80 million funding round, bolstered by a recent $30 million extension. This significant financial injection, backed by industry giants like AMD and Hyundai, is earmarked for the commercialization of its Bach series video generation model. The company aims to redefine the market by creating an industrial-grade AI engine capable of producing consistent, commercial-ready digital realities.


Strategic Funding for Global Expansion

The total funding was achieved in two stages, with an initial $50 million raised in November now supplemented by a $30 million extension. This expanded round attracted overwhelming strategic interest from a coalition of top-tier Asian venture capital firms and corporate leaders. The capital infusion is set to accelerate the company's global market expansion and product deployment plans.

Co-founder and COO Dan Kong emphasized the company's international focus, stating that the strategic backing from a powerhouse like AMD validates their vision. He noted that the diverse investor base reflects their ambition to build a generative infrastructure for global digital content. This support underscores the recognition that Video Rebirth is creating more than just a tool for a single market.

Beyond Demos: An Industrial-Grade AI Engine

Video Rebirth distinguishes itself by focusing on the practical 'realities' of video generation, ensuring high levels of controllability and coherence. The collaboration with AMD Ventures highlights the technical innovation at the core of Video Rebirth's strategy. Sagi Paz, Head of AMD Ventures, affirmed that AMD will serve as a long-term infrastructure partner for the startup. This partnership will provide the high-performance computing foundation necessary to scale their industrial-grade realities for a global audience.

Hyundai Motor Group's investment signals the technology's potential far beyond creative media. Keith Noh, head of ZER01NE, explained that the ability to generate physically consistent environments is key for the future of mobility. Hyundai sees immense value in using the AI engine to train physical AI systems within hyper-realistic digital simulations.

From the entertainment sector, Bookyung Kim, Director at HIVEN, noted that CJ Group views the technology as a compelling enabler for new content workflows. The investment reflects expectations for significant collaboration across the CJ ecosystem, including its film and drama divisions. They plan to explore practical use cases to create novel IP-driven experiences for their audiences.
