Zurich-based preventive healthcare company Ahead Health has raised $10 million in new funding as it begins expanding beyond Switzerland for the first time. The investment was led by European venture capital firm 3VC and existing backer RTP Global, supporting the company’s launch in Germany and the Netherlands. Customers in Munich can already book preventive checkups, while people in the Netherlands can join a waitlist ahead of a broader rollout scheduled for August 2026.
Funding Supports International Expansion
Ahead Health plans to use the capital to establish its services in both markets and strengthen its position in Europe’s preventive healthcare sector. Rather than building its own network of medical facilities, the company is entering Germany and the Netherlands through partnerships with established clinics, radiology centers, physicians, and other local healthcare providers. This approach is intended to accelerate market entry while ensuring that testing, medical review, and follow-up guidance remain connected to local clinical expertise.
Combining Health Data With Medical Review
The company’s platform brings together advanced blood testing, medical history, imaging, and AI-powered analysis within a doctor-reviewed preventive checkup. Ahead Health emphasizes repeated testing over time, allowing members to compare new results with their individual baseline instead of relying only on a single snapshot. Its model is designed to identify potentially meaningful changes earlier and translate complex medical information into personalized recommendations that members can discuss with licensed clinicians.
Starting With Comprehensive Blood Testing
The initial services in the new markets will focus on comprehensive blood tests covering indicators linked to metabolic health, inflammation, organ function, and cardiovascular risk. Each result is reviewed by a licensed doctor and converted into a personal action plan, while imaging services such as whole-body MRI are expected to become available later. By combining different types of health information, the company aims to give members a broader view of their condition and support more informed decisions about prevention and long-term health management.
Building on the Swiss Business
Ahead Health has developed a network of more than 20 partner centers since launching in Switzerland, providing the operational base for its next phase of growth. The company was founded in 2024 by a team that includes former Google executives, physicians, and health technology professionals, and is led by co-founder and Chief Executive Officer Nick Lenten. The latest financing follows a $6 million round announced in January 2026 and provides additional backing for the company’s effort to build a wider European preventive healthcare platform.
Investor Support and Market Strategy
3VC said its investment reflects the firm’s focus on selected European technology companies with strong links to the DACH region and ambitions to expand internationally. Partner Peter Lasinger highlighted Ahead Health’s combination of technical capabilities, medical rigor, and a mission centered on changing how healthcare is delivered. RTP Global’s continued participation also signals sustained investor support as the company moves from proving its model in Switzerland to operating across multiple European markets.
Ahead Health’s $10 million financing marks a significant step in its transition from a Swiss preventive health provider to a cross-border European company. Its partnership-led expansion strategy may allow it to enter new markets more quickly, although its long-term progress will depend on maintaining clinical quality, earning customer trust, and adapting to local healthcare requirements. With bookings open in Munich and the Netherlands rollout approaching, the company is beginning to test whether its technology-enabled, doctor-reviewed model can scale across different healthcare systems.
