Paris-based ad-tech startup Mediads has successfully closed a €3 million seed funding round to fuel its international growth. The investment was led by Seventure Partners and 404 Ventures, with participation from several business angels. This capital injection will primarily support the company's strategic expansion into the competitive United States market, where it aims to redefine social advertising by leveraging media trust.

Redefining Social Advertising with Trust

The digital advertising landscape is facing a critical juncture as brands grapple with rising acquisition costs and diminishing campaign effectiveness. Advertisers now need to invest significantly more to achieve the same brand recognition they did a decade ago. This challenge is compounded by growing audience distrust in an environment saturated with sponsored content, prompting a search for more credible advertising solutions.

Mediads addresses this by enabling brands to amplify their social media campaigns through a network of premium publishers. The platform allows advertisers to use their existing Meta, TikTok, or LinkedIn campaigns without altering creative assets, targeting parameters, or measurement tools. This seamless integration allows brands to leverage the authority of established media outlets to enhance their advertising performance with minimal operational changes.

A Symbiotic Model for Brands and Publishers

The core of the Mediads model is its ability to generate value for both advertisers and media partners. By distributing ads through trusted media channels, brands can see performance improvements of up to 150 percent, according to company data. This boost is attributed to the "halo effect" of the publisher's credibility, which increases audience engagement and conversion rates.

For publishers, the platform offers a new way to monetize their brand equity without compromising their editorial integrity or producing sponsored content. Mediads has already partnered with over 250 exclusive media outlets, including major names like Euronews, Ziff Davis, and Prisa Group. This approach effectively redistributes advertising revenue back to content creators, fostering a more balanced digital ecosystem.

Fueling International Growth and Market Penetration

This €3 million funding round marks a significant milestone for Mediads, which has operated profitably since its founding in 2022. Guillaume Echaudemaison, a partner at Seventure Partners, praised the company's ability to deliver substantial performance gains while integrating smoothly into existing advertiser workflows. He highlighted the platform's relevant response to the market's dual challenges of performance and trust.

Founded by Alfred Cardinal and Stéphane Labrouche, Mediads has demonstrated an impressive trajectory, achieving 100% annual growth while being bootstrapped. The company has already served over 500 advertisers, proving the viability and demand for its innovative social publishing model. This strong foundation provides a solid launchpad for its next phase of global expansion.

The new capital will be strategically deployed to accelerate the company's entry into the United States, the world's largest social advertising market. With an estimated $120 billion in annual ad spend, the US presents a major opportunity for Mediads' trust-based solution. The funds will also be used to strengthen its European footprint and expand its global network of premium media partners.

With its fresh injection of capital, Mediads is well-positioned to challenge the conventional norms of social media advertising. By placing trust at the center of its value proposition, the company offers a compelling solution to the declining effectiveness of traditional algorithmic targeting. This strategic investment underscores the growing market appetite for a more sustainable and credible advertising ecosystem that benefits brands, publishers, and audiences alike.
