Tokyo-based 9lione Inc. has announced that its Series A extension round on FUNDINNO has attracted applications exceeding 20 million yen. By September 22, 2026, total applications reached 21,697,830 yen, or 434 percent of the original 4,999,500 yen target. The company operates a pharmaceutical distribution improvement platform and sees this response as broad public interest in resolving medicine shortages and surpluses.

Campaign Details and Milestone

The campaign launched in September 2026 as a Series A extension using equity based crowdfunding. Ordinary shares are offered at 101 yen per share, and the minimum investment unit is 990 shares for 99,990 yen. The company stressed that the result is not only a fundraising figure but a signal of support for its social mission.

Addressing Pharmaceutical Imbalance

Japan continues to face limited shipments and supply stops for certain medicines, forcing some medical institutions to seek alternatives or adjust prescriptions. At the same time, other institutions hold purchased medicines that remain unused because of demand changes or patient treatment adjustments. These unused inventories can reach their expiration dates and be discarded, creating a clear imbalance.

Platform Growth and Market Demand

More than 1,200 medical facilities are now registered on the 9lione platform, and annual gross merchandise value has surpassed 2 billion yen. The company reports that demand from medical institutions nationwide exceeds the current supply that the platform can provide. This gap has made the expansion of supply side networks a central priority for the next phase.

Planned Use of Funds

The raised capital will be used to expand the medical institution network and to identify facilities that hold residual pharmaceutical inventory. It will also support nationwide sales locations, logistics and quality management improvements, system development, and hiring of sales and engineering staff. The company aims to build infrastructure that connects information on where medicines are surplus and where they are needed.

Leadership Perspective

Representative Director Hirota Yusho said he first witnessed the mismatch between medicine shortages and unused stock while supporting medical institution management improvement. He observed one facility struggling to procure needed pharmaceuticals while another held inventory that would ultimately expire without being used. That experience became the foundation of 9lione and its effort to connect surplus supply with unmet demand.

Investor Engagement Events

The company has scheduled online briefing sessions for potential investors from September 26 through October 1, 2026. During these meetings, the representative director explains the business and responds directly to individual questions from attendees. All sessions use a common Google Meet link, are open to interested parties, and are intended to provide transparent information about the company and its fundraising.

Company Background

9lione was founded in August 2018, and is headquartered in Nerima, Tokyo. The company holds licenses for pharmaceutical wholesale sales, highly controlled medical device sales and rental, and cosmetics manufacturing and distribution. This regulatory foundation supports its work with medical institutions and pharmaceutical inventory while ensuring the proper handling of redistributed products.

The ongoing campaign on FUNDINNO gives individual investors a way to support 9lione's effort to address pharmaceutical misdistribution. The company intends to use the additional capital to move beyond its Tokyo area base and strengthen a nationwide redistribution network. Its progress reflects wider attention to practical, technology enabled solutions for medicine shortages and waste.
