The Home-Grown Solutions Agribusiness Accelerator (HGSA-A) is a COMESA regional initiative funded by the Government of New Zealand (Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade) and implemented by AUDA-NEPAD. It is designed to support established, African-led agribusinesses that are delivering scalable, innovative and impact-oriented solutions across the agricultural value chain, with a focus on food security, climate resilience and regional trade. Eligibility Criteria
- Legal and operational status
- Legally registered and operational in a COMESA member state.
- Ownership and leadership
- African-owned or African-led growth-stage company.
- Strong preference for:
- Women-owned or women-led enterprises: 70% of selected cohort.
- Youth-owned or youth-led enterprises (18–35 years): 30% of selected cohort.
- Business profile and scale
- Established agribusiness with a proven and innovative business model.
- Annual turnover close to $100,000 (threshold may vary by country).
- Demonstrated capacity for growth and scale across markets.
- Financial and governance readiness
- Audited financial accounts for at least the last three years.
- Basic compliance structures in place (governance, financial management, regulatory compliance).
- Impact and inclusion
- Contribute to:
