Foodics, a leading restaurant operations and financial technology provider in the Middle East and North Africa, has unveiled Foodics Black at the LEAP technology conference in Riyadh. The new platform is designed specifically for full-service restaurants, including fine dining and contemporary casual concepts, and combines operational management with embedded payments. It aims to connect the entire guest journey, from the initial reservation through to the final payment, within a single cloud-based environment.
A Connected Approach to Full-Service Dining
Foodics Black is built on the company’s existing cloud infrastructure and tailored to the operational complexity of dine-in venues. The system coordinates front-of-house service teams with back-of-house kitchen operations in real time. Core capabilities include smart reservations, floor and table management, seat-level ordering, course pacing, kitchen synchronization, inventory control, and table-side payments.
Premium Hardware for Elevated Dining Spaces
The platform is supported by new premium hardware designed to fit naturally into sophisticated dining rooms. The devices combine strong performance and durability with a refined appearance suited to fine dining and modern restaurant designs. They run on Android and are intended to enhance service without disrupting the visual identity of the venue.
Operational Efficiency and Compliance
For restaurant operators, the integrated approach improves service consistency and staff productivity while reducing waste and optimizing workforce allocation. It also helps minimize errors that typically arise when teams rely on disconnected systems. The platform is compliant with electronic invoicing requirements set by Saudi Arabia’s Zakat, Tax and Customs Authority, known as ZATCA.
Leadership Perspective
Ahmad AlZaini, Co-founder and CEO of Foodics, said the product represents the company’s vision for the next generation of full-service restaurant technology. He described it as a connected and intelligent solution built around the guest experience. AlZaini also noted that Foodics Black opens a new market segment while creating more value for Foodics’ existing customer base.
Strategic Partnerships Expand the Ecosystem
Foodics signed a strategic partnership with MJS Holding, one of Saudi Arabia’s leading restaurant operators, to deploy Foodics Black across its venues. The group’s portfolio includes brands such as Black Tap, A.O.K Kitchen, Ruya, Mr CHOW, and La Terraza. This collaboration gives Foodics a direct channel to implement the platform in established full-service restaurant brands.
Loyalty and Ordering Integrations
In addition, Foodics announced partnerships with Spice and Wi-Q to broaden the Foodics Black ecosystem. Spice provides restaurant discovery, reservations, and loyalty features that allow guests to earn and redeem points directly during payment. Wi-Q consolidates orders from multiple delivery and ordering platforms into a single interface for more efficient management.
A Growing Market Opportunity
The announcement arrives as Saudi Arabia’s full-service restaurant sector continues to expand. The market was estimated at USD 16.15 billion in 2025 and is projected to reach USD 24.12 billion by 2030. This growth is shaped by experience-led dining and the development of lifestyle destinations, increasing demand for advanced operational technology.
Foodics Black marks a significant step in the evolution of restaurant management platforms by unifying reservations, operations, payments, and guest engagement in one ecosystem. The partnerships with MJS Holding, Spice, and Wi-Q provide immediate avenues for adoption and extend the platform’s capabilities beyond core operations. With availability planned across all markets soon, Foodics positions the new solution to meet the changing needs of full-service dining in Saudi Arabia and the wider region.
