Cape Verde will host the inaugural edition of the International Energy Conference (IEC) from 2–3 October 2025 in Praia. Under the theme “The Path to Energy Transition: Integrating Efficiency and Innovation in Consumption Management”, this high-level gathering is organized by the Ministry of Industry, Trade and Energy with the support of the Luxembourg Cooperation’s Energy Transition Programme. The IEC aims to position energy efficiency and innovation as catalysts for sustainable development across multiple sectors.

In line with the National Programme for Energy Sustainability (PNSE), the 2025 edition will focus on energy efficiency. It will highlight best practices and solutions across four strategic areas:
