Phoenix Venture Partners Limited (PVP), a venture capital fund manager based in the Abu Dhabi Global Market and regulated by the Financial Services Regulatory Authority, has led the second close of Nabta Health's ongoing US$3 million Pre-Series A financing round. The investment, announced on 19 October 2026, combines primary and secondary capital, strengthening a longstanding relationship as Nabta Health enters a new stage of growth. The round attracted participation from institutional investors, venture capital firms, family offices, and high-net-worth investors.

A Strategic Evolution for Nabta Health

Founded in 2017 by Sophie Smith, Nabta Health has evolved significantly from its origins as a direct-to-consumer women's health platform. The company now focuses on building AI-powered preventive healthcare infrastructure for employers, insurers, and healthcare providers. Its platform combines early disease detection, AI-supported care navigation through Aya, and hybrid digital and clinical care.

Board Transition Reflects Commercial Focus

The investment marks the next chapter in PVP's longstanding relationship with Nabta Health. Dr. Mussaad M. Al-Razouki, Co-Founder and Non-Executive Director of PVP and a founding investor and former Executive Chairman of Nabta Health, will transition from his position on the Board, and Steve Khayat will join as PVP's representative. The change comes as Nabta Health moves from an extended period of product development and research and development into a phase focused on commercialization and scale.

Leadership Comments on the New Phase

Steve Khayat, Founder and CEO of Phoenix Venture Partners, said Nabta Health has done the hard work of building its technology, clinical infrastructure, and model while demonstrating strong commercial traction. He described the company as being at an inflection point where the focus can shift decisively toward go-to-market and sales acceleration. PVP will work alongside Sophie Smith and the team to deepen strategic partnerships, accelerate customer acquisition, and translate that traction into scalable growth.

Founder Welcomes Investor Expertise

Sophie Smith, Founder and CEO of Nabta Health, expressed delight at welcoming PVP as a shareholder and Steve Khayat to the Board during an important stage in the company's journey. She noted that PVP brings not only capital but also regional relationships and hands-on support. This combination is expected to accelerate the company's next phase of commercial growth and deepen partnerships with employers, insurers, and healthcare providers.

Funding Deployment and Market Expansion

The new funding will support Nabta Health as it accelerates its go-to-market strategy, expands its enterprise proposition, and develops new commercial relationships across the employer, insurance, and healthcare ecosystems. PVP will work alongside Nabta Health's leadership team to support this next stage of growth. The firm will leverage its regional network and value-creation capabilities to help accelerate commercial partnerships and position the company for its next phase of institutional growth.

With this latest investment, Nabta Health is positioned to expand its AI-powered preventive healthcare model across the United Arab Emirates and beyond. The company's focus on early detection and coordinated care aligns with growing demand for more sustainable healthcare solutions among employers and insurers. PVP's involvement and the broad base of participating investors signal confidence in the company's ability to deliver scalable commercial impact.
