Cybersecurity company Huskeys has raised $27 million in a funding round led by U.S. investment giant Blackstone, bringing its total funding to $35 million. The investment marks a significant step for the company, which emerged from stealth only five months ago with a focus on security for the artificial intelligence era. The new capital will support Huskeys as it expands its platform and international market presence.

Investor Base and Strategic Support

The round attracted participation from Skinos Ventures, Shlomo Kramer's investment fund Yishay Yovel, Merlin Ventures, and the investment funds of cybersecurity companies Okta and Zscaler. Senior figures from Google, Microsoft, Palo Alto Networks, Cloudflare, Check Point, AWS and Intel also joined the round. Private investors included actor and comedian Assi Cohen and mentalist Lior Suchard, who serves as an adviser to the company.

Strategic Partnerships and Integration

The investments from Okta and Zscaler are accompanied by strategic partnerships that extend well beyond ordinary financial backing. The companies will work closely together to accelerate Huskeys' growth and deepen integration between different security solutions. This collaboration is designed to create greater value for customers across the cybersecurity ecosystem and strengthen overall platform capabilities.

Reinventing the Web Application Firewall

Huskeys operates at the web application firewall layer, a security technology developed in Israel nearly 30 years ago to filter traffic for individual applications as internet usage expanded. The company argues that this technology has undergone relatively little change and continues to operate in much the same way it did decades ago. Huskeys is developing a platform that adds an agentic AI layer to this existing infrastructure, adapting the WAF to an internet increasingly shaped by autonomous AI agents.

Founding Team and Market Expansion

Huskeys was founded by Itai Gafni, CEO, and Roy Weissfeld, CTO, both alumni of Israel's Unit 8200. Gafni previously led artificial intelligence initiatives within the unit, while Weissfeld worked as a security researcher focused on web security. Since emerging from stealth, the company has expanded its business, added customers and increased its presence in international markets.

Customer Base and Global Scale

Its customers include globally recognized brands such as TikTok, Legoland, Ro, Blackstone and Hugging Face. The company reports that it manages internet traffic at significant scale for global organizations across diverse and demanding industries. This early traction highlights growing demand for a modernized approach to web application security and validates the company's strategic direction in a rapidly changing environment.

Executive Vision for the AI Era

Co-founder and CEO Itai Gafni said the company left stealth five months ago with a clear vision to build a new cybersecurity category for the AI era, a vision that has grown stronger. He noted that artificial intelligence has changed how the internet works, bringing tremendous opportunities alongside new security risks and potential damage to organizational revenues. Gafni believes most identities operating on the internet will soon be autonomous agents, requiring new infrastructure to identify, secure and manage them.

The new funding positions Huskeys to advance its agentic AI-driven web application firewall platform and expand its global footprint. Backing from Blackstone, strategic partners and prominent cybersecurity figures signals strong confidence in the company's approach. As autonomous agents become a larger share of internet traffic, Huskeys aims to define a new security category and help organizations manage emerging risks.
